About Cool Out Sun Sound System:
Afro-Soul outfit Cool Out Sun burst onto the scene with an explosion of introspective, retrospective soul-food you need to experience to believe.
The all-star line-up of African Australian heavy hitters boasts some of the most influential names in Australian music.
Comprised of four creatives, producer/drummer Sensible J (House Of Beige/Sampa The Great), Emcee N'fa Jones (House of Beige/1200 Techniques), percussionist/vocalists Lamine Sonko (The African Intelligence), percussionist Nui Moon (Digital Afrika/Future Roots), and a family of guest collaborators including Neda Rahmani and Kwame Tosuma, infusing World Music, Roots and Hip Hop with an inclusive Afro-heart-Beat inviting you to wake up, cool out and vibe to.
Having released their debut LP in 2018, the group have played multiple festivals including WOMADelaide, Port Fairy Folk, Sounds of Africa, and support shows in the UK, and France. With a new studio LP well in the works, Cool Out Sun are ready to bring their good vibes into the summer of 2022/23 and beyond.
Cool Out Sun perform as a four-piece band centred around drums and percussion, and also perform as a Sound System with DJ set up, 1-2 percussionists and emcee, making them suitable to any vibrational environment to cool out and vibe with.

About N'fa Jones:
N’fa Forster-Jones (MM) is a Sierra-Leone/Australian music artist, rapper, songwriter, producer, mentor and teacher credited for having cemented the early Australian Hip Hop movement with his ARIA award winning band 1200 Techniques.
N'fa has released several acclaimed albums, collaborating, and performing around the world, while continuously trying to push the artistic scope of independent music as is shown with his most recent project - the Afro Beat & Hip Hop cultural infusion - Cool Out Sun.
N'fa is currently writing a new Cool Out Sun record with his collaborative partner Sensible J, and continues to deliver a Diploma of music based on Hip Hop practices at Box Hill Institute - a syllabus he co-wrote and established in 2018.
N’fa continues to celebrate his culture, his artform and his dynamic approach to music and education through music, performance, and theatre as he calmly pushes territories of creative discipline, opportunity, and POC presence into new realms of multidisciplinary performance, working to help foster the development of future creatives.
