I've had almost the exact same conversation with my grandson. It makes more sense than most conversations I've had with adults. The little one is putting the world to rights.

Oh my goodness! This baby will certainly become a brilliant actor/actress. Just look at the body language and the emotional tones. And of course the dad's interaction with the baby really encourages the baby to keep it going. So adorable! 😻
I taught preschool for 35 years and then college in the ECD field for another 15. I love moments like this. If I was still teaching, I would use this as an example of what children know about language before they are verbal. They know more than we think.
Research has shown that when a baby babbles a thought & you ask them what they said, they will repeat it exactly as before. NOT their fault you can't understand them!!! 😂🤣😂

Actually I’ve got another example of this. My daughter has Down syndrome & when she was a baby, the Early Intervention teacher said Kelly should learn sign language because children with Downs learn language at a slower rate. So our whole family learned it. I took a class & came home & taught what I’d learned to my husband & 2 sons. Kelly is 42 now but she still uses sign if she can say the word. She usually gets her thoughts out one way or another.
And if you keep talking back to them, saying words clearly and asking questions, it eventually turns into a real conversation with real words. I could understand what my kids were saying by the time they were two, we were having a lot of little conversations about what they thought of their little world. I miss those days, figuring out how to communicate with those little aliens 😂❤
So many times Dad's just walk away when their children our speaking but this father is having a full conversation. That's a good dad.

@@traviskalmoni I always spoke with my babies and they learned to speak very early. I know many people say I did not speak until half way thru my 3rd year, it could be that no one paid attention to me. I had conversation with people and they thought it was cute that I was always babbling.

So very true as if the baby isn't saying anything important. So happy to learn others are understanding the importance of just listening to their children. This was an exceptionally long conversation for a baby speaking English or a baby talking with another. Loved it!

Exactly! Some post their babies pouting, arguing, and throwing tantrums. These videos are labeled adorable. I commented they are concerning, and someone posted it was normal. I have worked with children all my life, and I know normal. Praising and encouraging those behaviors, only make them worse.

You CAN'T tell the gender of babies based on their look (unless they're wearing a girly bow on their head and/or a skirt).
There's a video of a little boy with long hair and 90% of the people in the comments were talking about this "cute, happy and ambitious girl", just because of his hair! In an older video of him, being a toddler with short hair, no one confused him for a girl. Everyone was talking about this "brave and happy boy"! But guess what: A lot of female toddlers have short hair!
I hate this attitude of being so sure about their assumptions, because it shows their narrow-mindedness and stupidity... stupid people are a pain!
