- Il film è ispirato ad un'esperienza realmente accaduta a Maya Deren nel 1939, quando interruppe la sua collaborazione con William Seabrock come assistente editoriale. Pare che Seabrock l'avesse coinvolta nei suoi esperimenti sull'occulto.
Wicht's cradle significa appunto "la culla delle streghe". E' ispirata alla credenza secondo cui le streghe imparino a volare dopo aver passato una notte intera legate nude ad una particolare sedia a dondolo.
Qualche anno dopo Maya rielabora quell'esperienza insieme a Duchamp, suo amico di quegli anni.

A few years later Maya re-elaborates that experience together with Duchamp, her friend of those years.

Ahead of its time
Can anyone make out the letters/words surrounding the pentagram on her forehead? I tried to take a screen-shot and zoom in on it, but couldn't make it out :( the resolution was too low and type too fuzzy. It looks like its written backwards or shot towards a mirror? I can make out what appears to be: "...END IS..." and I see what looks like a question mark "?" ... but I can't be certain. Anyone have any thoughts?

Interesting film yet I do not understand it. The actress in this film Pajorita Mata is beautiful woman. I wonder where is the actress from? Does anyone know where the actress Pajorita Mata is from?
