Rat Rod Go Kart 4 the KIDS!!!! Stripping the donor for Parts

- Well I cornered the Boy and the two of us managed to get the entire donor quad stripped, and I got to show him exactly how much work it really needed.
I think we're all excited here to see this one take shape. The next time you see the Go Kart it will be to reveal the frame and suspension that the Kids are about to help me design, but that will be a few videos down the road.
Monday I'll be back at a Cad Video, Wednesday I'm going to be back at the Rat rod, and I hope to see you all then.

I have an old Suzuki 125 with reverse. Pull start with no suspension.
Looks like great minds think alike .
We are at the same point .
My boy worked for a guy and talked him out of a set of old five star five or 6 inch wheels with fire stone bias, ply tires on them and come to find out they’re off of a real early Cessna type plane .

I had to take some time this summer from everything. But the boy has a renewed interest and asked me to put it up on the roster. Its going to get updated right away.

Absolutely. He's been working with me since he was 4. My oldest son was 6 months old on a pillow on the inner fender of my truck. Wether or not they choose to in life, all of my kids are capable of turning wrenches and basic fan work 😎
I would have turned the body around I think you cut the wrong end . I've seen that look before, and the round end was definitely the dash
I looked at it both ways , but this wheelbarrow is almost pointed at the other end, was too much, I'm leaning towards finding another one and just using this as a placeholder for it.

I have them. As well as air and electric tools. He's been able to run air tools for years. I'm purposely forcing him to get to basics, because repositioning wrenches and fitting them where they don't want to go is more important than pulling the trigger.
