Great Jack Youngblood story Rick! Mom's always do come through in the clutch! My Mom bought me my first pack of cards in the spring of 1973.

Enjoyed the video Rick. Jack Youngblood, now there is an example of a great football player. Always fun to watch him in a game. Also amazing off of the field, as is evident from your encounter with him. And what about that incident in Newport Beach? I remember when the Rams had both Jim and Jack Youngblood on the team and they had just trounced the Vikings.
Bud Grant, Vikings head coach, said after the beat down, "Everybody on that team is named Youngblood." I love that quote.
Also I have heard you mention the Beatles and the Kinks. Obviously great bands. I noticed you have the Kinks in your Subscription list. Good choice on adding Muswell Hillbillies and Preservation Act 1. Two great LPs. But then again there are many Kinks and Beatles albums that fit that category of great.

Ahhhh, Tim. Don't get me started on The Beatles or The Kinks. Love those bands to death!! I've met Ray and Dave Davies and they were surprisingly very kind.
Jack and Jim Youngblood, I used to think they were related. Jim wasn't a bad player either, Bud Grant, the man that I only saw smile once. hahaha. You'll have to refresh my memory about Newport Beach.
Are you going to Pasadena this weekend?

Great cards but even better Jack Youngblood story. He was a great player and deservedly enshrined in the hall. Great video, Rick.

The only thing I am really missing that I'll probably never finish are the 1952 Topps high number Dodgers. There are 16 of them and they're just too expensive. Thanks for watching, Mark!

Rick, I loved the story about your Mom and Jack Youngblood! Seeing your cards reminded me that I saw Duke Snider in Philadelphia as a Met in 1963! My Mom was a Brooklyn Dodger fan, so seeing Duke was a big deal. Unfortunately, I don’t remember much about the game, but I thought you would appreciate my Dodger connections!

Hi Rick! Happy belated Mother’s Day to your mom. I enjoyed listening to your Jack Youngblood encounter. Always nice to hear when meetings with athletes meet or exceed expectations. How nice he responds to your post. I love the yellow and blue Rams jerseys from the 70s but I will never criticize going old school with the blue and white. Those are sharp too.
I remember the big deal flying was years ago. Not that it is bad now but much of the glamour is gone. I leave the plane to no one greeting me, pickup my car and drive home. lol.
Nice group of cards at the end. The photo on the Fregosi is fantastic. Stan’s last card is a beauty with his crooked smile. Robin Roberts cards are generally inexpensive considering how great he was.
    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Terry from my Mom. You mean the entire family doesn't take you to the airport when you go on business trips? hahaha! We would literally arrive in a caravan of two to five cars sometimes. Was just a different era.
The blue and yellow uniforms of the Rams are the best, but I wanted to be different with my jersey and show up with an older version. I get stopped by people asking where I bought it. I don't wear jerseys as much to hockey anymore, but my Kings jerseys are the purple ones they wore in the early 70's. I have. a yellow one also from the same era. I just can't wear what everyone else is.
Love that Fregosi card, but I love his 1963 card the most. Thanks for watching, Terry!

Maybe I did tell them and they forgot??? I have no memory of you telling me someone you met, but you may have told me. I do remember one time you explaining to me what is now called TTM. Ron Cey sent you autographed cards. Oh wait, didn't you meat Campy too?
