So after reading My Hero chapter 296 I thought this song could work for the recent arc, especially for the sense of "fixing" is really saving. Also how the villains and heros are in sense trying to fix and resolve society but by different means. Thus people are caught in between on both sides, and both suffer for it. I also wanted another piece that was a different mood than my Everybody Knows one. Sorry for the glitchyness with a few scenes.

omg aside from a few scenes this is EXACTLY what my thought process was. I like taking songs and using them as a more platonic or universal feel to a story. I thought this song it perfectly with this arc and stuff leading up to it. Your analysis of the scenes I chose just made me so happy to see! I am so happy you enjoyed this and thought I made it fit! Dude, when you showed the part where Bakugou jumps in front of Deku with those flashbacks with the line “I promised you that I would learn from my mistakes”, I was taken aback. It was absolutely perfect.
Because I always see shippers freaking out over it for the wrong reasons. I mean, all this was Bakugou leading up to the point where he would apologize for _years_ of the bullying and harassment of Midoriya, and this is the ultimate “I’m sorry”.
Like, they just choose to ignore the 1000/10 character development for Bakugou’s character.
omg thanks so much! I am not a bakudeku shipper myself, but to each their own. XD But yeah I HATED Bakugou in the beginning but I liked how he was slowly changing and developed. I really like his moment of realization for him and how he is different than how he was. I now like and understand his character a lot more. But yeah i knew I had to do that scene to that part of the song. It just worked so well and fit Bakugou's remorse for his past actions and seeking to be better.
I think Bakugo's character develpment has to be on of my favorites. He grew to become a better person. A person who accepts his flaws. A hero willing to put his life on the line. He grew from greed and became selfless in his own way.
but let's be honest, they would be the best couple if they got together.

The melody and lyrics fit perfectly. I love how you hilighted how broken things are in not only the Todoroki family but between Izuku and Shigaraki and with Oboro and various other relationships. I love the "when you love somebody but it goes to waste" and it shows the Fuyumi and Natsuo and loved Touya only to be confused with his behavior among with father.

I love how you paralleled Deku and Shigaraki, showing their similar backstories but opposite paths. You highlighted what Deku feared. Becoming just like Shigaraki. You showed how if he'd been found by AFO instead of All Might, he could've been just like Shigaraki.

Seeing Midnight saying those words to Kaminari reminded me again what I’ve been thinking.
Was there a reason _Midnight_ said “think of the person who matters most to you right now”? Like, it’s kind of a random thing for her to say, unless she herself was going through the same thing he was- I mean, think about it. Someone on the internet said “Midnight didn’t really seem like her normal self, like, she seemed way more gloomier this arc”, and after that I really started to notice it. Maybe it’s because she was close to her death/foreshadowing, but...I started to suspect Shirakumo: she was basically as close to him as Present Mic and Aizawa, and Shirakumo was shown to have a crush on her. When he died, she was hit just as hard- her back turned away as she silently cried to herself.
And then, she passed away. She, along with Shirakumo, in the land of the dead.
It makes sense. I mean, he never got to become a pro-hero and his memory still lives on. I’m not saying it’s definitely romantic. The thought of Midnight carrying these feelings and memories into battle is so emotional, and it would be interesting if that were the case.
_Could it be a love not forgotten, never seeming to be able to put aside the feelings for the boy she loved and cared for all those years ago?_

This was rather cathartic to watch at 330 in the morning.
Oh boy though this last arc was really something. It gave such final battle vibes yet we're probably only just scratching the surface of the full potential of it.
As you know, I keep gushing about your videos and this is no exception. The details that add so much to it, like at 3:20 with masking in all the moments Bakugo and Midoriya have had up to that point along with the lyrics. Bakugou has had time to learn where we went wrong and is doing what he can to rectify that. He spent so long on this single minded track that when he took the time to see what he was doing he finally understood what All Might and Best Jeanist were trying to get him to understand. I'm also probably over exaggerating this on my end (though that's more of a point about the series I've spent trying to nail what I feel quirks are in the series but that would be its own discussion and I'd be here a while dissecting it) but I also get the feeling of him now having weight to his quirk. A fair amount of characters have this matter where their quirk has some legacy to it; carry this will from those before them; but Bakugo doesn't really have that. He's been on his own, already having his interpretation about his abilities. So after everything that he has gone through, he now gets why Midoriya fought so hard all these years. Why he fought despite the odds against him. Now Bakugou doesn't have just a quirk, but a power he wields. One molded by the will he experience from the hero Deku.
Also the final line: To fix you "You looked like you needed saving!" Again, could go into a whole tangent, but I should keep it short. I feel people miss the point of what the action in the series is suppose to mean. It feels like many see it as a means to dominate others when for the most part its more about the lengths everyone is trying to go to help people. The series has tried to show that fighting isn't the only things heroes are trying to do. They just want to save people so that they can live happy lives, only fighting if that's what it will come down to to maintain that peace. So despite all that Shigaraki has done, what he's trying to do, and even how emotional Deku got in fight, he still is trying to do the one thing he's be holding conviction for with the one person that everyone else would tell him to kill: to save him. Deku's goals aren't to beat up bad guys left and right to be some supreme warrior, he's trying to save people so that they smile with hope for a better tomorrow; even for those who would be his enemy.
There's always this matter where I make the mistake of looking into the dislike of the series, and I have to sit there and be quiet because I know I can't really fight it without looking bad on my part. Yet when I see a video, I think "Screw it, nothing will deter my love for this story." I could write essays on why I love this series, and I could use these videos as a means to help illustrate my point. So as a selfish part on my end, thank you for making this video.
I don't even love this series that much but this is a beautiful write up. And you know, it's been a hard year, but this comment has really inspired me.
