The priest is a lanner falcon, a bird native to most of Africa, and the bird whose head the Egyptian god Horus has.
You can't tell David Tennant he's playing a Scottish character in a cartoon and expect anything less than 250% Scottish 😂 Especially after all those years playing the Doctor and putting on an English accent; that was just time spent building up his Scots Reserves 😂
I love that the inhabitants of the pyramid don't get motivated by ideas like "freedom" or "sunlight", but by Burritoes. If you were to talk to peasants in the middle ages, I'm sure the same thing would work. Changing someones worldview with a simple speech doesn't work in reality for most people, but giving them some real, physical evidence of "more and better food" should win them over pretty fast. An improved quality of life is what would matter to most people living like that, not big and vague ideas that they probably don't fully understand anyway.
That's what caused the french revolution, people didn't revolt because they didn't like monarchy itself, they simply were starving
This doesn't apply just to the middle ages, it applies to present day equally well. If you try awake people around you and raise their awareness about how the system traps them, they're not gonna believe you and they'll dismiss whatever you say from the slightest and laziest reasons. If you talk about stuff like computer security, privacy, liberty etc., this usually means nothing to them as long as they have their smartphones and all the daily conveniences. Only when they lose those things, they start waking up to reality (unfortunately, when it's already too late :q ).

One of my favorite things in this episode is that we see how Webby was able to mostly translate the hieroglyphs but not completely. And Scrooge *was* able to translate the last part. It helps show that while Webby's knowledge is legitimately super impressive, there are still things she doesn't know yet. Scrooge is the master adventurer so it makes sense that he has a lot of extra expertise.
The blade is called a khopesh. It does 1d6 damage and can be used to make trip attacks.
This one is gold, which means it gets by Magical DeSpell's magical immunity to iron and steal weapons

Voice actor corner: Amunet is legendary VA Cree Summer, who’s been in literally everything. Sabaf is Bassein Youseff, a famous Egyptian comedian, and the real Toth-Ra is Fred Tasciatore, who does a lot of superhero voices, most notably the official voice of Hulk.
Cree Summers was also Penny in Inspector Gadget.
Oh Lord, I am remembering the accent David Tennet did for the live reading of McMystery at McDuck Manor.

I can't wait for her to see all the mummies rise up against Scrooge as Launchpad leads them to victory in the fight for minimum wage. Not to mention the awsome Launchpad saga where Huey is the last hope against Miss Beakley
Dewey's biggest mistake was thinking that a dance strictly for zombies would work with mummies.
You're going to absolutely love the episode where they get trapped in the faerie hills, and Scrooge has to find a way out of a contract with the Sidhe.

I love that part when Launchpad gets a girlfriend from mars and they do a TV show, that's one of my favourite parts of the series.
This episode may seem like a throwaway, but it all comes around when Scrooge is declared temporarily insane after several failed attempts at recouping that nine thousand dollars. He was carried out, ranting about sea monsters and ice cream!

Louie is actually the reincarnation of the trickster god, Hermes, as shown by his ability to con others and detect when he's being conned.

Toth-Ra became pharaoh by killing the real pharaoh's son. He gained immortality but was trapped in the tomb with a spell. He want to get out in order to find the reincarnation of the pharaoh's son, a boy named Presley. Scrooge and the kids end up helping Presley in the season 2 finale.
Actually, they got 200 burritos, 100 quesadillas, and 55 tostadas. 355 items in total. So 9000÷355 equals about 2.53$ per pop. Not a bad price actually.
Also.. OMG HAS SHE NOT WATCHED STEVEN UNIVERSE?

I won't rule out some of the Scottish banter being Tennant's ad libs, but I think (at least) most of it is in the script. I'm not 100% sure but I really think "Curse me kilts" and "bless me bagpipes", in addition to being things that Scottish people totally exclaim in real life on a daily basis, are taken directly from the comic books.
Wee Lass's prediction was both right and wrong. That's what I love about _DuckTales._

Not strictly relevant here, but one of my favorite KND facts is each of Sector V's civilian names reference their code numbah.
Numbah 1, Nigel Uno, Uno is Spanish for one.
Numbah 2 is Hoagie P Gilligan Jr, Jr as the second of a name and Gilligan as in the second in command from Gilligan's island.
Numbah 3 is Kuki Sanban, san is Japanese for 3.
Numbah 4 is Wallabee Beetles, the Beatles are known as the Fab Four.
Numbah 5 is Abigail Lincoln, Lincoln is on the $5 bill.

Toth-Ra is not one person! In some stories Ra is the Egyptian God of the Sun, hence the sun being everywhere, and Toth is his Son. In others Toth was like the Christian God, he had no beginning, though him and Ra were always close in those stories as well. Toth is the creator of Earth and "lays the cosmic egg that holds all of creation." He became the creator of Writing - hence why the hyroglyohics are so confusing at first it was the first creation of them - inventing the Calendar, and controlling space and time.
The Mummy in there is a pharoh who named himself after both, thinking he was equal to them. It's a very interesting story.

Here today, I’m another rendition of two lies and the truth:
1. Scrooge McDuck secretly has an ex girlfriend that is somehow just as old as he is
2. In season 2, they will find themselves dealing with mummies a second time and that time Louis actually kicks butt in that episode.
3. A character from the original series, doofus Drake will be introduced, And he’s an eccentric friend of Louis.
Have you ever watched "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic"? Maybe you could react to this show too? It's a bit like "She-Ra" in some ways, and it would be cool if you started reacting to it before episode 11 of "Duck Tales", because there's a little easter-egg reference to MLP in that episode that you won't get if you don't know anything about MLP ;)
