A lot of elder abuse has been stopped with the use of covert recording devices. They are very affordable and can fit into the most innocent of objects.
All that would need to happen is for the CPS to apply for permission to use the recording as evidence. Craig would've received little more than supervision from a sergeant being as he is so new.
