Micheal Castillo | Sit With Me, Dani G episode

Our next guest is Micheal Castillo, known to many as “Big Island Mike”.
Mike was born and raised in Makakilo, Oahu. At 12 years old he started riding BMX, which led him to meet Chris Moeller of S&M bikes. He then traveled the world and competed in Mat Hoffmann Bicycle Stunt Series.
After multiple wins and titles, he transitioned to judging the competitions and judged the X-games since the day it started. He judged the x-games in the BMX category for 25 years.
He has also done photography and graphic design for Mat Hoffman and the BMX industry.
He then got introduced to Mark Mahoney of the World Famous Shamrock Social Club, where he apprenticed under Mark, Freddy Negrete, and Rick Walters.
Mike then opened Hale Nui Tattoo, which he owned for a few years.
He is still an avid traveler and can find him by appointment only still doing tattoos out of his Secret Ninja Warehouse on Oahu.
