    Oh Andrea I have so much respect for you as a Crafter, you admit mistakes and things that go wrong and we don't have to be perfect in what we do as trying to be perfect spoils Crafting! And then its not enjoyable anymore! I love what you do, and so look forward to your channel, I get excited if I find one I have missed, like this one! Thank you so much for all you do for us! 🤗

  • @TheZatKen
    @TheZatKen Před 4 lety

    Can you tell me the advantage of making snippets? Does it speed make the journal, or help coordinate the colours? Not sure why you would use snippets for the Cover As you need to cut them to fit the cover. Would it not be easier to just cover the size of a cover? Love the use of fabric.

    • @artymaze
      @artymaze  Před 4 lety

      Marilyn Kennedy The advantage for me is I like making them, I usually use them as a mood board, I not really into speeding up the process as that’s the part I love. Once made I find they come in handy for all sorts of things from tags, journaling cards pockets and even the cover. You must do what suits you I find it helps me get away from perfection, eg, making something work that may not fit. Again this is me and would not suit everyone. Xx

    • @TheZatKen
      @TheZatKen Před 4 lety

      @@artymaze if I read this correctly you make a new snippet for each fabric journal. Is this correct? Love the fabric you have.

  • @robertarees1256
    @robertarees1256 Před rokem

    I'm making a smaller sized journal. Is it best to do the cover last in order to guage the size of the spine? I thought I would cover most of the middle bit and do the outer edges of the cover page once I've determined how big it needs to be after sewing the inner pages in. I would line the inside of the cover page only sewing it in with the pages and sewing around edges once I know the covers size. Do you think this might work or is there a better way to determine the spine width and complete?

    • @artymaze
      @artymaze  Před rokem +1

      Would do exactly what you said x
