- What says holidays more than sparkly silver tinsel and a big red bow?! Come along on this sweet journey with me as I show you how we cook up wafer paper tulle, paint it silver, and turn it into an adorable tinsel tree. You could even cut it smaller and use it as metallic edible flakes for cakes all year round.

Beautiful! ❤
Thank you! 😊
That’s cute Alexandria! What brilliant idea ❤
Thanks Lisa!! Hope you've been well! :)
@@FinespunCakes It’s so nice to see a new tutorial from you☺️ It’s been way too long. I hope this doesn’t sound crazy, but I feel like I’m attending a reunion and seeing a friend I haven’t seen in ages! I’ve never been to Canada. My husband and I should take a car ride there and make a stop to visit your studio! That would be fun! Anyway, back to work on my gingerbread house… gingerbread house of a local landmark called The Red Lion Inn. I bit off more than I could chew on this one, but decided to lift the restrictions on making it an exact replica and give myself a little creative freedom, lol! Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s 🎄🎉☃️❄️
@@lisaanderson135 It's been a while!! Such a busy year with wedding season and getting married and such haha.
I love that!! It always feels nice to see familiar names pop up in the comments :) You should definitely come to Canada! (not in the winter though, wait for summer haha).
Oh that sounds like an amazing challenge, good luck! Happy Christmas and New Year to you too!! 💝
This is fantastic. Thank you for sharing 😊
Thank you :)!!
So pretty! I love the tinsel! ❤
Can you refrigerate the cake after adding the tinsel if boxed up and wrapped in cling wrap, so the tinsel doesn't melt or dissolve?
Yes I think that would be okay! As long as the box is kept as humidity free as possible (with the cling wrap). I've refrigerated wafer paper before for a day or two this way and it was fine.
