Hello Everyone! GoldenNova here! It's Patron Week, which means it's time to cover an archetype selected by the holder of the Quasar Commander Tier! Super Quants are a deck with big monsters that combine to get even bigger, all with that Super Sentai Flare! But how does a Rank 12 hit the board with 6 (or more) material? Honestly, I wish we got a variety of different Super Quants with Levels 1-12, give me Gold and Silver Layers, Purple Layer, Yellow Layer, there's so many colors that have been used in Sentai/Rangers so far that you could totally get away with doing 12 different main deck monsters.
You know. A level 12 Super Quantum monster with Fairy Alphan will make it also so much easier to summon. Hehe
could be the next Elemental Heroes, just saying

On the topic of future support: I’d love to see a Black Ranger Tuner that can level modulate. The deck is already being played with Diviner, and Halq access would make the Link monster super easy to summon
Year 5 of waiting for a black dark and a yellow earth to round out the full 6 ranger squad.

@@jaydblerd4360 most likely a Yellow for EARTH, and a Pink 1 for DARK, if they really want to stick to the Super Sentai color line, as the original were Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Pink.
Although they could make a Black and pink alongside a yellow one one as a way to reference the CMYK
I like the idea of a yellow ranger that protects the graveyard with its mech being a material to negate the removal of cards from the graveyard. In the same vein, it would be interesting fit tp have a pink ranger that is about banish recovery, since all rangers should supplement one anothers weaknesses. And a black ranger for extra normal summon potential so it can circumvent some special summon restrictions.

I love how Alphan Spike represents the team defeating the villain in their normal form with their finishing move, only for them to get back up again and grow exponentially larger (represented by an extra deck monster, which are normally stronger than main deck monsters).
Ah another deck for the list of "Archetypes that could be really good with just a few more good support cards". In this deck's case something that help's them keep hand advantage after all the discarding they have to do, like an in-house super rejuv.
Yeah. Something like their own Magician's souls.
As smething with an effect like this: "Excavate the top 3 cards from your Deck, and if you do, you can special summon 1 "Super Quant" monster among the revealed cards, also, place the remaining cards on the bottom of your deck in any order. You can banish this card, from your GY, Draw cards equal to the number of "Super Quant" monsters on the field +1. You can only use each effect of (this card) once per turn. You can't Special Summon Monsters from the Extra Deck, Except "Super Quant" monsters the turn you activate any of these effects.
Need some protection from the Kaijus' special effects.

btw alphan spike letting the opponent summon from ed is refrencing how the bad guy usually becomes large after initially dying. even the gy effect (which you can use right after) could be interpreted as the rangers seeing the giant enemy and calling the zords

1:39 I like the Battlizer reference, but a part of me wonders that, if the archetype got a card that was a reference to the Battlizer, would it be an Equip Spell? or as an Union Monster?
6:38 That's not Tommy Oliver's levels of popularity, that's Super Sentai levels of Red overdose, given, in promotionals, is always the Red Ranger being the one used as the series anniversary, the only exception being Zenkaiser a White / Rainbow ranger
I loved the Battlizer reference: a not so often recognized Super Sentai oddly specific to the Americanized versions of the shows.
Patranger VS Lupenranger had Battlizers.

@@dragonmaster613 If your referring to the Super forms accessed with VictoryStriker or SirenStriker, I wouldn’t really pin them as battlizers per say, given that they work more like the other dial fighters and trigger machines that give them weapons. The closest that I could say in Sentai is likely the Super forms for Zenkaiser and Twokaiser in the current-airing Sentai Zenkaiger, but given the disconnect in terminology it’s likely a stretch.

Just bought the cards for my deck a couple of days ago I’m also incorporating Masked Heroes into the deck as a reference to Super Sentai and Kamen Rider crossing over from time to time
Personally, as a Power Ranger/Super Sentai fan, I love this archetype. I would love to see the other Ranger colors represented in the archetype. There's still: Black, Pink, Yellow, Gold, and Silver to add in. Following the other Quantums, they can be different types (like Fiend, Dragon, etc.) or more of the same types ala Alphan and White Layer. As for the Zords, there are so many effects they could utilize to make them worth having in the deck. And with the rest of the colors and corresponding Zords, it would allow more variety and if given the right effects, wouldn't necessarily need other archetype engines to get things out faster.
For example, a lot of people I see who run Super Quants, use the Danger! engine to get things running. If the new colors had the same effects as the Dangers! we could have an archetype that didn't need other archetype engines to see consistent wins.
I'd like to see a fusion monster that combines Great Magnus and the Link monster. We need over-the-top Ultrazord power!
The link monster is already all 4 of the xyz combined. Wouldn't really make sense for a fusion of magnus plus it. If we got some new zords with their own mega, that would be sick to see combine with the link.
The link monster is supposedly great magnus with maganrex

I think a card like that would be too cumbersome to bring out in today's meta. Its like trying to bring out V-Z Dragon Catapult Cannon. Too many resources and materials needed for a single monster.
A fusion would be interesting, that's for sure but I would prefer to see a new Ranger and Zord added to the mix to make the process easier or even a Synchro instead of a fusion. Maybe the Zord itself could serve as a substitute for the field spell and the Ranger could help with summoning other Rangers from the Deck
@@Netherwolf6100 I get the idea, especially how extra rangers end up having a different ype of vehicle over the others (like the go-on wings / rpm rangers silver and gold having flying vehicles in comparison to the others having cards), but a "zord that is treated as field spell" is kinda unnecessary.
Making an archetypal seacher for the field spell that maybe you can banish to draw cards equal to the super quant cards you control would work more as the deck struggles to recover hand after making their plays

There's actually another reference in alpha spike, the extra deck summon is a reference to when a monster grows huge after it's first form is destroyed.
The third of Sentai/Kamen-like archetypes, and they could use more like Pink and/or Yellow and/or Black and/or Battleizer Red. They could also use equip spells like the rangers signature weapons with an extra spell or trap that served as the “combine weapons” shtick as well as one based off of morphers and some lore providing cards just for anything we’re missing, extra oomph, and/or laughs. One thing we’ll probably never that they should do: cards based off Bulk and Skull!
another archetype of xyz that has a theme of POWER RANGERS in form of rangers, zords and megazords.... it is much like WILD FORCE, and OTHER POWER RANGERS series in terms in main and extra.... and has cool artwork...

Super Quant is definitely one of the best decks I've made (in Link Evolution). Really fun.
I was playing digimon during the premiere, but im so glad youre covering one of my all time favorite archetypes with your expertise. Always a joy to hear super quant praise and analysis, but from you its even better

I never knew anything about this archetype but your explanation took me back to my childhood watching the original Power Rangers. But anywho the explanation was awesome and this archetype seems like a well oiled machine.
They could still release yellow, pink and black rangers and mechs with maybe another super mech so I'm happy this archetype can get future buffs

I gotta try this archetype out one day
I personally hope we get another "Super Quantum (X) Layer" monsters. At least 2, so we can get another trio with White Layer (fitting with Red - Green - Blue's trio themathic). Maybe a Pink and Yellow (fitting Super Sentai thematics of Red, Green, Blue, Yellow and Pink the most used colors in teams of 5). Maybe those hypothethical Layers getting their own Xyz or Link Monsters to make Great Magnus easier to summon (even if it locks your extra deck into "super quant" monsters)? or making a bigger ultrazord?
Maybe get a Spell Card with the Super Quant doing the group Power Rangers / Super Sentai Pose, with an explosion behind them?
What I'd hope is that the new Layers (we'll go with Yellow and Pink for traditions sake) would have their own mecha combine with Lusterrex to make another Great Magnus-esque monster (though probably a bit weaker since it'd be a bit easier to summon) and then you could overlay Great Magnus and this new monster into the ultimate Super Quantum monster. Kinda like an Ultrazord
It would be very impractical but it'd be cool as shit
You know it would be cool if the next wave of Quant support could include a duo ranger set sort like Gouraiger/Go-On Wings.
Like Super Quantum Black Layer and Super Quantum Yellow Layer as Lvl 4 Dark Wyrm and 3 Earth Cyberse monster respectively with their own Quantal Fairy companion a Light Level 1 Tuner, with their Mecha Beasts as Synchro’s instead of XYZ monsters. Black Layer and Yellow Layer could have the effect of being treated as a Wind Monster and Water monster to go in conjunction with Magna Carrier and compliment Green and Blue as their counterparts.
As for their Mech Beasts you have the Lvl 5 Dark Attribute Synchro Super Quantum Mech Beast Shadowlobo, and the Lvl 4 Earth Attribute Synchro-Tuner Super Quantum Mech Beast Terraursa. Who both share the effect of equipping “Super Quant” monsters with the same attribute from the GY for the additional effect.
• Shadowlobo: When equipped with a “Super Qant” with the same attribute it can make attacks up to the number of Super Qant Machine monsters on the field
•Terraursa: When equipped with a “Super Quant” Monster of the same attribute, you can special summon from your gy 1 “Super Qant” Machine monster but it’s effects are negated.
With their boss monster an Accel Synchro Lvl 9 Light Attribute Super Mech Duke High Opus.
Afterwards their final boss monster is a G12 style cluster F style Light Fusion Monster, Supreme Mech King Magnus Opus Rex
A wolf and a bear, huh?? Not bad. I'm one of the guys who wants more support for the Super Quantums.
Also, the Super Quantums needs some Equip Spells based on the Rangers' personal weapons, a Zordon/Doggie Kruger, a Battlizer Union Monster and a Titanus-like Monster. As well as some traps.
You should talk to Konami about this.

This deck has always stayed in the back of my mind. If I ever actually build it I’ll definitely refer back to this video
Is no one gonna talk about the Supreme "______" Magnum Overlord. The Rush Duel deck that looks very similar to Quantum's and also focuses on using 3 monsters to go into a big megazord monster using Maximum Summoning.
Is it sad that after playing this archetype for a while I just realized that blast magna has a gun
Given how epic Kenji Mitsusada's "Final Turn" was in Cardfight!! Vanguard--they even gave him the theme song--I'd pay to see a Yu-Gi-Oh! ( Zexal or Arc-V) anime version using Super Quants and Mech King Great Magnus. Seriously.
One of the many decks I use and an archetype I adore as a Tokusatsu fan. Excellent work as always.
As another tech option you can run, my build has 3x Volcanic Shell. You can use them as the discard cost for Magnacarrier, then pay 500 LP to instantly put another in your hand. This keeps your other Quant cards or supports safe and is an easy way to have cost always in your hand when needed.
i love alphan so much he's tribute effect is basically like using a better painful choice. its so good you always gets 3 effect off lol.

The literal translation is "Super Amount". A synonym of "amount" which is especially common in physics is "quantum".

Since it’s on topic: The first Power Rangers series I saw on TV must’ve been Ninja Storm or Jungle Fury. The first new PR series to air on TV that I saw was Samurai, while the series I’ve seen in completion are: Time Force, Dino Thunder, Ninja Storm, Jungle Fury, Samurai, Dino Charge, and Beast Morphers. Time Force is my favorite series btw.

Rewatching this video I realized something kinda interesting. All the Super Quantal Mech Beasts have a total statline of 4600 between attack and Defense. Even Lusterrex keeps to this theme. I've had a Super Quant Deck for a while and have played it pretty consistently but I never noticed this factoid until I was rewatching this. XD

Loved the video this is one of my favorite archetypes to run but with Mech Sword magnaslayer if your opponent lets it happen you can literally stack 3 of them on Mech King (it feels toxic but satisfying) and it’ll end up coming out to like I think 7,200 atk and you can detach 1 of them and you’ll drop to about 6,000 but you’ll have 3 attacks with piercing and can detach 2 instead of the 1 for 4,800 with piercing but with 6 attacks. You won’t always get to pull it off and it’s really satisfying to do and is basically a more complicated Juggernaut Liebe attack if I’m being honest lol.
wouldn't you only get 3 attacks regardless of how many you drop, since the card says "can 3 attacks druing this battle phase" not 3 more, just a flat 3
White Layer is clearly Micheal, the Arch Lightsworn and Luster Rex is just Judgement Dragon in disguise. Traveling dimensions to do heroing is totally their thing. And naturally White Layer could only be some incredibly tough and buff dude and totally not anybody else, lol.

I like to think of Infinitrack Megaclops as the unoffcial "Ultrazord" of the Super Quantz. Like if Magnus gets destroyed, he summons the three Mech beasts to the field, so you then Link summon Megaclops.

The only think I remember about Super Quants is playing against one online with my Dogmatika deck. They scooped the moment I sniped Magnus and Neo out of the Extra Deck.

I just finished building a zombie and Dino deck to where I feel like their good enough to duel with and now I most build this deck ................. I didn’t choose the power the power chose me
Now they need to make yellow layer, black layer, and somehow pink layer. Yellow would be a earth beast-warrior black a dark fiend(yeah I know real original) and pink I'm not sure.

Maybe Pink is Dark Winged beast and no Black. Usually Green takes the place of Black,
Don't forget how Alphan Spike is also the set up for, after having defeated the monster, (insert name of series big bad here) brings it back as a giant monster, thus creating a need for the megazord, hence Spike's second effect.

For Magnus' 6+ effect, do you need 6 or more OR more than 6? In MD its 6+ effect doesnt light up with 6 materials attached
who else agrees that konami should make actual figures of these guys and literally any combinable machine monster so we can have them properly combined/transform? i'd love to have a v-z figure with all five of the components, an abc combiner, magnet warrior and magna warrior, these guys, mekk lords

I would still consider Alphan Spike, Alphancall Appeal, Magnaslayer, and Magnaformation as one-offs.
MAYBE Magnaformation as a 2 because its "attach" effect is more useful than people give it credit.....
