This song is about breaking free from drug addiction, which stems from depression or any other mental illness. So I agree it does help.
@@uchx6392 the song has definitely helped me. It expressed a lot of what I used to feel. And it helps whenever those feelings try to bring me down again. I not only enjoy it, I feel a kinship with it
@@uchx6392 I know this comment is old, but no, there are songs one has a special "connection" to, emotionally. Not every song would do/cause the same feelings. Enjoyment and this are quite different.

The talent that goes into this music is just mind blowing . Sad that noone realizes or even thinks about how much time goes into such badass music.
Then they think they have the right to criticise it when it doesn’t fit their expectations
I love how Asking Alexandria is so versatile. They pretty much have kicked ass in everything that they have tried. It's never just one type of sound with them. Their music can extend to so many people, not enough people have given them a chance.

Love this version, it's all so raw and so different, it's perfect! It's nice to see a different side of AA occasionally

The picture itself shows that they have strayed away from the path of sex, drugs, and money. They now are giving full dedication to their music and fans.

I'm aware, but I was trying to make a point, and Danny's voice sounded the same through Stand up and Scream, and Reckless and Relentless (in a good way), but he was trying to say he lost his voice, I was simply pointing out that Danny injured his vocal chords a little bit before doing this, and this only sounds like this because it's the radio friendly version, but I still love them.

That's the heavy metal version. This is the rock mix brother. Same lyrics sorta but cut down a lot shorter and less aggressive lyrics
its cool that they try something as risky as this, most bands are afraid to change their sound because they are scared the fans wont like it, but AA is confident.
Ok......sorry if this sounds stupid..but whats the difference between this and the normal version?....I just listened to the music video version and this version going through piece by piece and I really can't tell any difference between them. They don't sound different.
They made the music video for this version. Take a look at the other one.
The drums are more a harsher sound, there are pauses for the breakdowns, there screaming and growling on the regular version in comparison to this equally good version.

The sound is the most obvious. Lyrics are also different. "Am I surrounded by sin" instead of "am I surrounded by death." Also the rock mix seems to have omitted the lyrics "the devil came to take me away but I'm already gone"
AA is my favorite band I love all their songs in their own style but this song is amazing! I can't stop listening this, I want an album in this style!! come on!!!

Because AA is going on a similar path that A7X did.Both bands started out with albums that mainly contained screaming,then A7X started to tone down the screaming & did more cleans,& fully got rid of screams by their 3rd album.AA is starting to do more cleans,this song being a main indication.
Guys he was addicted to cocaine and heroin and he was also a very heavy drinker and smoker. I think he has stopped most of that by now. I mean the music suggests that. And he really is back and better than ever. This is real rock and roll
If you check out the comments below, you see that the fans like this version. You see that the fans still listens to AA even if they make a "Rock Mix", you see that we still like them for experimenting. So take you opinion and out it somewhere there it wont see the sunlight. I think you know what i mean by that.

Bands who get played on the radio have something expected of them that they have to follow. They naturally become softer than they were before. It's pretty obvious if you listen to music on the radio at least once in your lifetime.

To call AA sell outs for this is ridiculous, one of their influences is 80s metal and hair metal, not selling out but staying true to who they are and exploring themselves, and I agree that to hear this on radio would be a good change vs the simple rock we hear now on the radio. AA keep doing your thing and keep chasing the music you want to produce as an artist.

Quit complaining everyone. Danny has always sounded great. in 2008 to 2013. As he's gotten older and consumed more poisons his voice changed, as did most all rock stars. You will all see it slowly happen to the bands you like from here on out. You just have to grow with the band and accept it.
I feel like this is AA's last album, not sure how much more Danny can do given how fast his voice has changed in less than 10 years, make this album a good one
