When ever I see or visit the southern end of Blackpool beach it never fails to amaze me that a third of the world's internet comes ashore to the UK and then onto the rest of Europe from an undersea cable.

Nice beach there at St Annes. The dunes are a nice place to walk along, peaceful and restful. The sound of the sea is always peaceful too. Some very nice walks there, nice vlog Stephen 👍
That beach is one of my favourite parts of Blackpool (well, St Annes I guess). Perfect to get away from the hectic prom for an hour or two. That mirage effect works the other way too as I noticed it when I walked from St Annes to Starr Gate a few years ago.

This beach is so wide and long it's so spectacular, Stephen. Being able to see Southport so clearly is quite amazing. many thanks for this video.

Hi did you take that log home for your garden? That was a good video and I noticed by the time you got to the sand yachts I couldn't hear or see the sea. If you're going sunbathing on the beach, then st Anne's beach is perfect. It's not as busy as Blackpool, there's plenty of room for the kids to play about. It's best near the pier where there's some shops for ice cream and fish and chips.
My mate decided to take a lovely picture only the other weekend of him sitting on this beach eating a McDonald’s McMuffin! His partner lives there. Looks awesome… I really need to get up sir. Any chance of a photo!? 😉

I don't know when it started up again, but I do remember the tragic accident.
