This is one of my absolute favorite decks!! It’s so nice to see someone talk about it and appreciate it because it seems to be very underrated!
It's very popular in Australia! We've had a few discussions in our FB groups because a few of us were not too keen on the Lovers, Strength and Devil cards. Personally I don't mind the intensity of these cards. I find the Lovers card to be literal (to devour each other), many languages use the verb "to devour" when describing a very intense loving/sexual relationship. And I find the Strength card very touching for the sense of abandonment of the two figures. I was in two minds when it comes to the Devil but for me it paints a very evocative picture of shame, focused on the carnal desire which is one of the aspects of the card, so I've come to terms with it. Thank you for this walk through! I'm interested to see how you read with it, because so far I've had some trouble. It feels like I haven't found the right "mid set" for this particular deck. It's certainly demanding!!
Intense is the perfect word to describe this deck for me! I’m curious to see how working with it changes and shifts for me. The lovers feels like the ultimate commitment, like you said to devour one another. I find the devil to be so provocative and strength to have such trust and connection, but that’s just from sitting with it for a while and not using it yet in readings. I can see how these things are really in peoples faces and make many feel uncomfortable
I got the Lubanko Tarot especially for my shadow readings, but I connected to it so fast and so strongly that I immediately took it from the shadow-work ghetto and started using it for all kinds of readings. I love this deck.

I found out about this deck like almost a year ago when the first print was just sold out and I was obsessed with it, I followed it all the way through the second sale.
I got it and it honestly feels so nice to read. I feel like my practice changed with this deck. And also her introduction was just so nice and made me feel so good 😭

I see a lot of people thinking the lovers was to intense and stuff but it was exactly how I saw the lovers and it’s all just so perfect to me.
Also if u look at the devil and the lovers side by side u can see its the exact same pink used in the cards wich I thought was cool.
But yeah it’s just a deck that really helps me evolve my practice and the guidebook is almost pretty much how I interpreted the cards.

I’d been following the creation of this deck when it started and then forgotten about it until it was coming out. I’ve been loving it, and The Lovers in the deck is one of my favorite The Lovers. The Lovers is a card that I really like, but I generally do not care for how it’s depicted in decks. I generally cannot relate to The Lovers and Two of Cups in most decks (since I’m aromantic), and so, I never draw them unless I’m interviewing the deck. I just love the choice here and the literally all consuming feeling. The choice to consume and have the choice become part of you and even consume you as well. Maybe your choice is just causes you to consume yourself without realizing. If I wanted to look at it as love, I can see the intense and even darker side that people tend to ignore, or obviously just reading for myself, which is what I really only do, I can easily see my choices, especially since my choices and interests do feel like they consume me. When I feel, I feel a lot since I’m an ADHDer. I just love the intensity of this card in this deck, and like, looking at the fan deck I’m making, you can really see how I get with The Lovers since the perfect scene from the show, which was clear to me, was one of the most, if not most, frustrating moments in the show, where the main character chooses to give up ever being accepted and for destiny to come true because he chooses his friend to live instead, which actually results in dooming said friend.
Edit: The deck is still decently new. If I’m remembering correctly, there was a Kickstarter that I missed, and then I got it right when it was coming out for others to buy. That was last year. This year, there has been second release of it. My brother had been keeping an eye out since I didn’t tell him about the deck until it came, and he really liked it.

This is one of those decks that I've never forgotten. When I first encountered it about a year ago I was turned off by The Lovers card. But learning about shadow work in the past year I wonder if that's something I should explore. Why do I feel that way? What is the card bringing up within me? There are so many cards that resonate with me on a soul level (that 10 of Wands is so powerful). Now that another printing has been released (when I first came across it, it was sold out), I think it's time that I get it.

It was for sure the most shocking card in the deck. It’s like my brain couldn’t comprehend quite what was happening.

Thanks for doing a walkthrough of this deck! I backed it on kickstarter and followed the creator on instagram. It’s barely 2 years old. My only problem with the deck is the swords suit, specifically the 3 but I’m almost always disappointed and dissatisfied with the depictions of the swords suit and that card in particular. I often think that creators either don’t understand or don’t like it so that’s why when the other suits have interesting/different interpretations, the swords is almost verbatim RWS/traditional. This deck is intense which I don’t mind-so am I in some regards. Glad you liked it!
I love this deck, lol. I’m all for the decks that make me think wth and throw me out of my comfort zone, which a few cards did. The lovers is so intense and there is so much more than meets the eye. It shows that love at times can be all consuming, devouring, how certain relationships may veer towards crossing the others boundaries and just that primal all consuming need (whether it be unhealthy attachments like feeling we need the other to essentially survive or it could also be looked at as a positive way.) I love the strength card, that one I can write a whole novella long comment about, lol. These are just my interpretations and what I feel when looking at specific cards, obviously mileage varies but I’m a bit of a macabre eccentric one so I was all for cards that made me go and illicit a visceral reaction😳🤔

Fascinating! It has a very raw energy. Comes off as grotesque, in the sense of the genre of classical art; any of these images would work in a Bosch painting, y’know? Certainly not for me, but gorgeous nonetheless. Would looove to see this artist on a deck with a less violent slant.

I've seen this deck before and I love the artstyle and most of the cards. Unfortunately The Lovers card triggers me a bit, so the deck is not for me. It's still an amazing deck. But I'm glad I looked at all the cards before I bought this deck.

This deck has many great cards but then cards like the lovers that I prefer not to have … It’s a very interesting deck. I am not sure when I first heard of it but this deck is hard to be forgotten! I am sure you’ll have lots of fun working with it

I have seen this deck & an interview with the creator. I don't remember where 🥴 They were asked about the lovers card, also the devil & one other that is apparantly controversial 😯 I am in love with many of the cards (HP, Emporer, Hermit, Death) but the Lovers card stopped me from ordering the deck. I think it is a brilliant depiction of the card's essence but I don't like looking at it. That's ok though, I can't afford to buy them all😂 I also love the 10 of Pentacles & the ace. Always my favourite suit.

My understanding is that the creator is trying to take it mass market but has so far not had any publisher’s willing to take a chance. Which I think is really unfortunate because this deck is stunning and deserves to be around and available for a long time!
