Fantastic review... I can't wait to get my hands on one.
Thank you for taking the time to do this review. We will be making this a National release at the PCA Trade Show in March 2024. Keep up the great content!
Dave! Thanks for taking the time to watch the review, it means a lot. Looking forward to enjoying more wagashis in the future 🙌
I bought 2 boxes !!! Steve Saka and Cigar Dojo let me down... this cigar is terrible and I'm stuck with 2 boxes 😭😭😭 maybe I'll smoke it when I'm sick so I can smoke a cigar ... when I get sick I can't taste anything why should I waste a cigar that has flavor when I can't taste anything so this cigar is perfect !!! Never blind buy ever again !!! I hope Cigar Dojo and Steve Saka are proud on screwing their customers over !!! 👏👏👏
Good job !!!
I bought 5 sticks and just had my first one...I wouldn't call them terrible, but definitely NOT as good as the original Brulee. Almost had a sharp taste and not nearly as smooth as I was expecting, more pepper than I was expecting. Hoping that the other 4 I have will smoke better. maybe if I pair is with one of my favorite bourbons, it will be better.
Great review! I think Steve really nailed this blend.
Wow, you went out and got the actual Japanese Wagashi candy!? The attention to detail you put in to these videos is awesome bro 👌🏼
Does this cigar have any type of sweet taste on the cap?
I know you mentioned its not like the brûlée but I wondered if it had any type sweetness at all?
I appreciate that Roger! Good point, I should’ve pointed it out. I didn’t any kind of sweetness on the tip that we get on the brulee. This was a unique one man - looking forward to your thought after you try it.
Thank you for watching brother!
This video is amazing as always. Great review and great attention to detail. I hope to one day find that cigar since I didn’t preorder it. Also need to go out and look for that candy and that soda. Cheers brother
Thanks Frank! It’s definitely a box worthy stick I hope to get again haha. I can spend hours at my local Asian market looking at everything using the Google translate app and this pairing worked great.
Great video man. Looks like we picked up slightly different notes but along the same vein. I always associate walnut with a touch of bitterness/astringency. I got more of an almond. Love the vids man, keep em coming!
Thanks for watching brother! Yeah this was an interesting one for me. I haven’t had anything I could even compare it to.
Love your content as well man! Keep up the great work 🙌
Great review brother
Thanks Peter🙌
Gotta say, I was a bit let down by this blend. Brulee, original and Blue are both in my favorites category. However this is a distant third compared to those. I barely picked up on any cream and sweetness at all. 2/3 into the cigar there was a lot of pepper and it just started to become very bitter. I'm going to let the rest stay in the humidor for a while before I revisit.
You took the words right out of my mouth...I had the exact same feelings on this blend...not terrible, but definitely a far cry from the original Brulee.
Good stuff bro. Glad you enjoyed it.
Wouldn’t have been possible without you brother! What were your thoughts on the cigar?
@@cigarsidechats it’s my least favorite of the Brûlée blends. I felt it was a very basic Connecticut, nothing really stood out to me. Maybe it will age well
I’m curious how it will age, my favorite is still brûlée blue.
Very cool pairing. I like that you stick to the theme of the cigar.
Love the background of the blend.
Another great review.
Your set up and editing is very clean. Do you have experience making videos?
Thanks for watching Eric! I’m mainly a photographer but learned to do video work a few years back for my church. Everything I know has been through CZcams University haha.
Thanks for the kind words brother!
@@cigarsidechats I have been impressed with how slick they come across.
Additionally, you come across as an experienced speaker. You are smooth and articulate. Do you sketch out some ideas in advance or are you talking off the head? Obviously you look up info about the cigar.
My point is you seem to be a practiced speaker, have much experience?
Man that means a lot to me! I look up the cigar prior but other than that I don’t really sketch it out. I prefer it to be natural which I often times have to edit out 100-200 ums during my dialogue haha.
@@cigarsidechats lol. Well the editing makes it seem super natural then! You are doing great!
I really appreciate it Eric! Hope you have a great weekend brother
I have a box of these resting, just got them Thursday
I think these will age beautifully 🙌 enjoy brother
BBQ turkey is 💣💣
I’ve been thinking of giving this a try! I feel it’s too much pressure to try my first one on thanksgiving day but definitely need to give it a go. Also… this is the perfect Texan answer 😂
