question. is it breaking the confidentiality contract to tell your therapist about how someone elses traumas are creating your own traumas? like if you tell them what your patient told you and then told your therapist about the toll its taking on you

As a person whose pursuing a possible career in psychotherapy, I can say that (from what my psychotherapist professors mention) no person should ever feel like they’re guilty about making their therapist feel a certain way. It is not your fault for all the things that happened, and you don’t need to worry about what the therapist is doing, they know which resources to use and not let that get into the relationship you can build in sessions.
So please, if you feel like this, know that a therapist never judges you of how fucked up your life it, they might be sad about the course of events, but what matters is that you become functional and thrive with the possibilities you have.

The lesson we could learn through this song is that everyone needs help, even if they look strong or dependable. For example, I considered my friend to be my therapist because he always shared sad stories and helped me feel better after all. However, one day, he told me he needed me to sit beside him and share his story. He probably felt his soul ruined and heartbroken.
me and my grandpa used to listen to all your songs together- i sang and he tried to mumble the words. he was very sick at the time and sadly passed last night in his sleep. no pain, silently, just how he would want to. his favorite song was Steve, since his best friend was named Steve who had also passed. he would have loved this song. i saw it a couple minutes after it was posted but didnt think of sending a small memorial for him here. i sang the song out loud and i knew he could hear me and loved it.

Now that I've listened to the song and watched the video its so well done, almost Alec being the one talking and being the therapist shows him going to see someone, but also that person being himself. SO many times I’ve told my therapist something that she had to really think about before moving on. I hate to think I send her to her own therapist with my worries and such, but I’m afraid I do. This song makes me feel things. Many things. Thank you for another amazing song!
Most therapists have their own personal therapists that they go to! It's a normal thing in that line of work. They're there to help you, to give you the tools you need to manage symptoms, improve your daily functioning, and to improve your quality of life, and they're doing this for many people. It's natural that they'll need someone to help them do the same, to help them with their own needs and help them be able to keep their clients' worries separate from the therapists' personal life.
Never be afraid to share what you're feeling with your therapist, that's what they're there for! They have their own methods of managing their mental health. And having been in therapy myself for a long time, it's likely that when your therapist pauses to think on what you've said she's simply doing just that, thinking about it. They don't always have answers or a response right away. :) Sometimes they need to think on it and do their own research to figure out how best to help with a specific worry. And that's okay! It gives them a new tool to teach you that may help not only you, but also future clients with similar worries.

This is by far the best song i have ever listend to alongside with the music video. Its lyrics hit harder than a truck and the video sequence captures your attention within first seconds. The only songs that can overshadow this one for me are new music from Alec, there is absolutely no match for this masterpiece. All of your art is amazing, keep it up. I'm completely mind-blown by this song and one of the most recent songs of Alec's called "Different Kind Of Beautiful", which hit quite hard as well.
This song hit me in more ways than one. I jammed but at the same time my heart hurt, the words are deep but that just makes the song all the more meaningful. Overall I loved it, just cried a little. Really a wonderful song ❤
