I think it's the most logical coin for Americans to get. It's hard to counterfeit, higher purity and if SHTF and you needed to flee to Canada then you have Canadian currency which will certainly be allowed in with no problems. It's globally recognized and I love the finish on RCM products.

I think that the Silver CML (2018 and later) is the best sovereign coin to stack. The lower premiums are welcome today, and the security features will very valuable if silver goes on a serious bull run as new retail investors to precious metal will want certainty.

12:20 I'm from the Netherlands and actually it is the queen / or person on a coin that makes it a bit less interesting for me. Nonetheless I still get those, due to liquidity and desirability. The newer versions are interesting too because with all due respect but if one of the persons portrayed on the coins passes away, ' the last year ' will have an additional value in the future.
11:00 Been listening to information about silver for a few weeks now, somehow I didn't know about the milk spots yet. Great to know, as I thought the current year 2022 maple leafs are very expensive here. (29,40 euro) while the Kangaroo, Britannia and Philharmonic are 28,50 even tho the delivery time is 5 more weeks! Older maple leafs are also around 28,50 but you don't know what year you'll get. They wont have milkspots, but you don't know if they are " due date" .
I find it difficult to decide what's best, due to different reasons of stacking. One is diversifying, other is it makes it easier for me to save money rather than spend it. The other one is during economic problems, inflation and who knows collapse of currency. Bars here are taxed by 21%. But, what if premium is way above 21% then bars might even become a possible option...

This also brings forward the question of why the European and British governments levy such a high tax charge on silver but not gold? Do they know something we don’t? Silver Dragons: Thanks mate and I really enjoy your informative videos on silver, one of the best on the net. I think from what I have researched it is a case that the governments who tax silver, know something is coming. Whether this be in the near future or far, I don’t know.
There was another probe into JP Morgan’s silver holdings last week, as they apparently don’t have enough physical silver to cover for their future silver contracts. I had a chat via Skype last week with Mark Yaxley from SWP, he thinks the demand for silver will be also retail driven as sovereign debt goes up. I agree!
My game plan is two fold with silver. Buy now and sell it, if it hits the 50 dollar mark or above. If not, I am quite happy to hold my silver long term and cash in on my retirement. Win/Win situation!

Went to a coin shop recently that had just purchased a collection of privy marked maples from a guy. I'm guessing they had 150 coins of all different marks and years. Ended up cherry picking the best ones. Got five or six of the F15's, a few of the Capricorn and Libra's, a couple D-day ones and a bunch of others. Basically paid the same price for them as I would a random date silver maple. Pretty good find I would say and a blast to pick through.

IMO the best option to choose your stacking coin type is the one that comes from the mint that is closest to your location where you live. But regardless of that - whatever you choose to stack stick with it. Don't create a mix of all available options as it will bring some small problems along the way you'd like to make undone but there you are some years later with a mix of everything :)
PS: If you wish to have a variety just for looks okay. Get some as you wish. But keep the stacking one typle only.

    • @TheOwenMajor

That's called the face value. They are legal tender in Canada. That meaning if you go to a store in Canada they are obliged to accept them at face value.
As for their market value, you of course can only get that value when you sell them on the market.
They carry slightly more value than generic silver, but nothing to rely on. The real value is they are minted by a trusted mint and everyone knows what they are.
