Dive in with me as I explore the world of the Kagurabachi manga. I'll be discussing Chihiro in his past, the manga's premise, power system and characters.
Kagura Bachi feels a lot like an old school manga in terms of characterization, alongside new manga style of quick pacing. I read it at first out of curiosity, but after the first fight against Soujou, I was HOOKED. The action is so fun to follow, withott it feeling like a chaotic jumble. Which is ironic, since every fight in this manga technically starts chaotic
Heavily agree on the clarity of the fights. I’d say the one that hooked me into it was Sojo vs the Kamunabi. I also didn’t realize how creative the fights were until my second read through, it’s great stuff. It’ll definitely be one of the standout anime when it gets its animated
Well it’s definitely better than Boruto and LeBron James. Right now it is my favorite series, the way the action is drawn is really remarkable. You can really see the action, it’s not some jumble of fists, weapons and blood where you only vaguely know what’s going on. Reminds me of Claymore with its kinetic energy. Chihiro is actually quite deep dispute his flat expression. He will always prioritize saving lives over his revenge, that was his main conflict with Sojo. In this current arc (which literally just ended today) it’s about family and father son relationships. Contest how Chihiro got along with his dad and how the Sazanami clan treat their sons. I hope you stick with it because I think this series will be a top seller.
I certainly plan on sticking with it, it’s one of the more exciting of the new generation manga. I completely agree on the bit about the action being clear and easy to decipher what’s going on. I’m not too far behind from the current chapter, but my main issue from where we’re at now is the lack of development of the side characters, but I can see them diving into some of that moving forward as they flesh out past events and such. Really enjoying the Rakuzachi arc at the moment. Depending on how into it I get once I catch up I may do some arc review videos
Idk where u at in the manga rn but once u read a certain chapter u will see that Chihiro is actually pretty sensitive and soft and is still suffering and is just putting up a front with his edgy and cold hearted looks.
With Char, right? Honestly I could have gone into that a little, but didn’t want to get too plot heavy in the video. I definitely may have oversold the stoic aspect of his character. That said, he does have complexity, it’s more about my personal taste in how his depth is presented. I do enjoy him overall.
That’s interesting that there was so much hype surrounding this manga, because I’ve never heard of it. I won’t read it, but this video is really well done.
I feel once you have caught up ur opinion on the MC might change. I feel his growth as a character is really cool and how he may say he has hatred but is actually very soft LMAO. Decent vid though
Well he actually grew a lot more on me as I started again from the beginning to prepare for this video versus my initial read when it started. I’m still not caught up yet (chapter 32), but from my fresh perspective on things I can definitely see where you’re going with this. If not for work and CZcams I’d probably be caught up by now lol. Also I appreciate the feedback on the video!

I fall in line with that opinion. The sojo arc overall was great and the set up for the one right after it is good too
