  • Some footage filmed on Metrobus Route 409 between East Grinstead and Godstone onboard Metrobus 6325 (LK55 AEA), an East Lancs Myllennium bodied Dennis Dart SLF.
EDIT: This vehicle has since been withdraw leaving just 3 darts. All information below is correct at the time of video publishing.
I was keen on filming one of these vehicles as they are the only 4 Myllenium Darts left in regular service (too my knowledge).
LK55 AEA, along with its sisters ACV/ADX/ADZ were all new to First Berkshire as part of a batch of 22 buses, purchased by Surrey Couty Council to be used on the "Pegsaus" school bus services. In July 2010, the "Pegasus" scheme ended and the buses were sold off to many operators including Stagecoach, Arriva and Abelio Bus. These 4 however went to Southdown PSV and stayed there until 2023, when Southdown was purchased by Go-Ahead and brought under the Metrobus brand. These buses still have the spirit of Southdown though, with all 4 still retaining the Southdown livery (but with Metrobus logos), operating out of the old Southdown garage (in Copthorne) and are regularly seen on the 409 and 410 services which Southdown used to operate. However, with the age of these vehicles, its unlikley they will last for much longer, so if you have any interest in seeing them I would recommend you go sooner rather than later!
