The Hover Glitch was discovered on October 16th 2014 by Unreal704. His discovery was unlike anything we had ever seen in the community at the time. How much did it affect the games and it's speedrun categories? How much time was shaved off? And was it really as easy to perform as it looked?

Imagine you have this racing game that you love, but your position at the end of the race wasn’t just based on your driving speed but also how good you were at a turn-based battle minigame that popped up during the race. Sure, you still have the driving that you love, and if you’re not bothered about taking first place you can just skip the battle minigame, but to compete at the top level you can’t just focus on the bits of the game you find fun. That’s why any% speedrunners sometimes hate new glitch discoveries when they fundamentally change how the game is played. Classic%/no major glitches categories are no different to competitive smash bros players disabling items.

I'd had a relatively decent idea of how the hover changed the Jak 2 runs with it being my main game in the series but as someone who started running the games after the hover revolution, seeing how it affected Jak 3 in such a detailed and well documented manner is awesome. Looking at the collective history of speedgames like this just reminds you of how awesome this niche of gaming really is and is very inspiring.

Editing and narration was on point! I liked how you did transitions and how you showed the tricks being done. Definitely do keep taking sponsors, you did the section well and it was in the beginning of the video so it wasn't annoying. I also really appreciate the timestamps.
Only thing I can think of to criticize right now is the transition between Jak II All Missions and Jak 3. The music part/montage thing was great and I think that should've been the first thing you show. I think you could've been fine without the "lets find out" part, but yeah the transition itself from "found good use of the hover" and "Now it's time to take a look at Jak 3" felt kind of awkward.
Tried to give you helpful feedback, because I really do want to see you succeed, though my criticism there might be just me desperately trying to find "flaws" from the video and nitpicking. I still hope you got *something* out of it. Looking forward to the next video!

this video is old and i watched it back when it came out but
man I cannot stop giggling at "FINALLY! a brand new gamemode that was just recently released!" The concept of that statement is just so fucking funny to me like "god i was just WAITING for a new gamemode, specifically one that was just recently released!"

As bad as the turret ship mission was in Jak 2, the game ender (not run as I never speed ran it) for me was that tank mission where camera was switched to the tank's perspective. That mission ensured I never played the game after the first play through as the jarring perspective made it near impossible for me personally.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II: Renegade and Jak 3 are amazing games. I love all of them. Currently re-playing the second one on PlayStation Vita. Not the best version out there, but I am not complaining. :)
