  • Swedish forest machine manufacturer Rottne has upgraded their F18D forwarder to now be competitive in the heaviest haulage work and long distance forwarding. With larger wheels and balanced bogie, the new F20D take 20 ton loads. This machine is primary developed for the North American market but Skogsforum.se made a visit to a Swedish contractor who had the first F20D for a test ride. Increased load capacity certainly makes a difference on long hauling.

Skulle vara en väldigt fin film om man bara kan höra ljuden från maskinen och skogen.

Would have taken longer if he had put a proper big load on, show me an operator that puts the machines weight on, they all pile it on beyond its max weight.

Middelstamme 248L.

Very nice machine, needs to tighten the tracks tho

No tighter than that. If you tighten them more they will snap more easily when going over big rocks!

@@ricardo3760 no they can't.. When can even losen them more because when you are driving on rocky ground the tracks need to be lose!

@@tommybacklund3718 In rocky and steep terrain you definitely want tight tracks so that your tires won't spin inside the tracks themselves, on newer tires agter 2016 it's not so much a problem i have heard, but my tires are from 2014 and spin extremly fast, as soon as their a bit wet, mud snow etc.. I have tried them loose, and tight and tight definitely helps, best we did was to weld round steel rods meant for constrction inside the tracks, this gave awesome grip. I operate in Norway btw, so 90 % of all we log is in steep mountain sides, i know what works best on my machine in that terrain at least
