Because they signed a plea agreement early on in the case. They didn’t see things this far in the future, they didn’t imagine how hard it would be to get up on that stand and cross your friends. These events should show the youth it’s not worth it.
They are not forcing him to testify he snitched on his own friends already and agreed to testify is the reason why he got the plea deal knock it off

It’s your right but they already signed the order giving him imunity meaning he has to testify or go to jail.
Since they said that they gave him immunity it probably means that he already snitched on paper. So he probably told, made a statement and signed it but now that is hi's turn to testify on trial he refused.
He has already provided information, so he might as well benefit from it. The fact that he didn't put anything in writing doesn't change the reality that he talked during the interrogation. Regardless, he is still considered a snitch.
No one was ever arrested nor convicted from his interrogations showing what little faith or credibility the police who interrogated him had in his statements! Now they’re trying to use them which makes this even weaker

You can be held in contempt if the question has no possible legal jeopardy attached to it. The fifth amendment only provides protection against self incrimination. If the answer to the question can't possibly incriminate you in a crime, then you can be compelled to answer.
