      Ekicestar nononononononokono garlic. Maybe cumin. Depends on the day. If your feeling extra adventurous I’ve had friends add sofrito. But no. Iz garlic.
      (This is just my opinion I’m not trying to offend please don’t crucify me internet I’m just an idiot trying to make a joke and relate to other comment section denizens. Please don’t throw stones. Or bricks.)

    • @ekicestar8145
      @ekicestar8145 Před 5 lety

      Brianna PalOro I don’t think I’ve ever had it with garlic before. 🤔 I grew up in Idaho and it’s in almost every fast food place or even restaurant that serves fries. Same with Utah. I know that when people make it at home they add different ingredients.

    • @briannapaloro4412
      @briannapaloro4412 Před 5 lety

      Ekicestar Oh hi! Yay! No hate! CZcams is a very scary place. Especially Mitu comment sections when it comes to food.
      Anyways! I was speaking, although I should probably say typing, from my experience as a half Cuban and half Puerto Rican. I personally think that it’s awesome that a certain condiment can be claimed by two very different sections of the world. And variations are always amazing.
      I’ve actually been doing a research project for my world history class on food in the Caribbean and a large component of it has been how every islands traditional fare is a remix of each others with their own twists.
      But yeah, in my experience this is a random sauce that has only ever been called a sauce that we whip up with garlic and garlic salt sometimes for that extra oomph. And eat with basically anything that has been fried. Although it is most commonly with tostones. And it’s amazing. I would definitely encourage you to try it. I’ll probably try the extra additions you mentioned as well. ^_^
      Many apologies for the lengthy reply.

      @@melissanunez1155 no, the exact ingredients are ketchup,Mayo,crushed garlic with olive oil, and sazon goya. All mixed up with the correct amount of everything in it and you have the traditional Puerto Rucan mayuketchup. Not really meant for fries either. Its for fried green plantains

      Sick Intentionz sweetie everyone in PR does Mayo ketchup differently. However it is not the same as fry sauce which is what i was saying. I’m sure you can Infer that from my previous comments.
