S being a puppet to Jackalope would fall into why the project is named after the Milgram Experiment. Jackalope is seeing how far S (and the audience) is willing to inflict judgement and pain on the inmates just bc we see Jackalope as an authority figure. How far are we willing to put these people through these trials just bc some random stranger told us they deserve to be judged? I guess we’ll find out
I feel like this ties into the actual milgram experiment where people were told to do things by authority figures, and were tested to see if they would really enact punishment even if they knew it'd hurt the other person (I think it was electricity to someone who got questiond wrong?)
When he said "Do not sleep on Milgram" I thought he said "Do not sleep on Real Ground" and I thought "Why would anyone sleep on Real Ground when we have Real Bed" then when I opened subtitles I realized it was Milgram.
Update to Update: everyone is shocked and betrayed by mu and will vote her guilty but haruka will die if they do so I'm looking forward to what their choice will be
Update to update to update: Everyone on twitter be beating Mu down for being both French and the daughter of a landlord. Also people be voting Haruka guilty so he won't 'past-tense' himself as voters are voting Mu guilty as well.
hearing you call jackalope a rabbit fills me with irrational rage as a person currently living in texas but i will forgive you because everything about this video is great. i’m looking forward to the next milgram song, and seeing more content about it makes me even more excited
I’m really glad that MILGRAM is getting people’s attention! It’s an interesting series that lets you learn about how other people view the same music video differently. A lot of the music videos you learn and theorize by watching them which is pretty fun to do and why I love the series so far. There are a lot of different elements of this series that excites me so thank you for making this video!
YES THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO !!! milgram is such a cool project and i hope it gets more love in the future! also bless you for your analyses david you’re the best 😭😭
My current guess is that all the inmates and Jackalope are actors that are a part of an experiment that tests Es’ morals. I guess that Es will regain their memories (which could be faked if this is an experiment that involves normal people, just with fake memories) before the third round, which may affect their final decision on whether or not Es sees the inmates in the wrong. There’s also a possibility that Es could be an inmate themself and would have to judge themself too.
Please do another video about the newer songs that have come out. I love the idea of milgram and was hoping to find some analysis videos when I came across this one. I really like the theory of Ese's character, and totally missed the abortion notion. Idk why I thought it was more like a dead twin or something like that. Either way, really enjoyed your video!
I'm curious, did you choose innocent or guilty for Kashiki (I hope I spelled her name, oh gosh.) I'm curious about the specific part of the project where the viewers interpret and choose who is guilty while perceptions of morales are connected to the interpretation of who is innocent or guilty. For me, I would like to wait it out but for now, I would probably choose innocent as I like to see the good in people and inspire self-growth and kindness (If it's nothing too despicable) and the slight hope that she feels guilt and remorse and will no longer look away from her actions. But I'm curious about what you and others think. Think as this comment may be as sort of a mini thread/discussion as this information deeply intrigues me.
Innocent. Her crime was not wanting to be a mother at 18 Can't fault her for that, though she could have took more measures to prevent getting pregnant in the first place...
@@yumerepaint8287 Yeah, I could agree with that. Though maybe I'm just saying that as such a serious issue is something I've yet to decide for myself. But as of now, I'm following the interpretation of that she wanted to keep the baby but was forced to or made to, yeah. I never really had to think about the interpretation that she wanted to get rid of it herself as since I'm still young, such a thing is morally confusing for me as I always see some valid points for both sides maybe, probably because I don't wanna be hated or judged negatively. Still young, who knows, but what would be your opinion if you go along with the interpretation that she was pressured to do such thing.
@@Sodota Good point op And it's okay to not choose a side on serious topics! I'm still young too, (about a year or two around her age) But I think if she was forced to, then she is definitely innocent. If she wanted the baby, then it should be her right to keep it, but of course if she was forced to get rid of the baby, she wouldn't have had (or thought she had) the choice to keep it. She says in her song "I messed up," which I think could be talking either about her finding out she's pregnant, or letting it slip accidently that she is. Either way she's a teenage human, she makes mistakes. Tbh I was kinda shocked to see more people saying Haruka was innocent. Anyway, I'm tired so this might not make any sense All of it's pure speculation What do you think?
@@yumerepaint8287 I think if I had to choose I would say innocent to Kishiki because of the same points you brought up XD. But for Haruka I would probably say that he's innocent but not entirely all the way as murder under his context is well justified because of his potential abusive parent due to his injured mental state. I would if I knew a guy like that, help him out and be a support and help him but murdering her is still something wrong as there is a better way to go about it but seeing that his mental stability is very fractured I wouldn't put it past him and would love to see him fight for a better life while coming to terms with the fact what he did was morally wrong and was a bad way to go about it.
@@Sodota Your points about Haruka are very true! He did murder two to three people tho (counting the dog, and three if he killed the girl, tho many people are saying he just hurt her. Idk about that tho.) An analysis of the video was saying that he drowned his younger bro, but some people see the boy as his younger self so idk But yes, fractured mental state He does seem to recognize that it was his fault, at least to some extent. So potential possiblitly for redemption? 🤔 Maybe if someone gets Haruka some help... ...I'm just gonna say you're a better person than me, tbh I'd be a bit scared of him (at least at first.) He does deserve a chance at redemption tho
Ok so I’ve gotten into it before inmate 04 (the newest one I believe him) and you want to know how I discovered it? A video with abnormally Danceing girl of muu, also futa is best boy you can’t tell me other wise. Also fun fact, MILGRAM did a collab with D4DJ and you can play the songs in their game! (If your on en only a undercover and one of the songs are there right now)
The premise of the whole is: everyone killed someone / are they guilty or not? In the first MV its actually Harukas little brother that u see and not a younger Haruka. Because he drowned his younger brother. He got everything he wanted and in the end he wanted to be like him. He's seeing himself as his brother in the mirror in the beginning, sleeping in his bed with his little brothers plushies, loving the girl he loved too and killing the dog his little brother loved so much. In the end his mother abandoned him, thats why the face of the mother isnt seen.
