    Why do you think trees look better in summer when full of foliage? I think they look starkly beautiful showing their bare geometric shapes.

      Thanks for watching! Absolutely, a valid point and I think many trees can make strong compositions when they aren’t in full foliage (all depends on the composition). I think for this particular composition, because I’m hoping for some nice side-light, I think the foliage catching that light will make the trees a stronger focal point. With this being shot wide angle, there’s little compression so the trees don’t have much visual weight so I thought perhaps the foliage would help… if that makes sense! 😊

      @@chrisharveyphotographyAbsolutely! You have to be there at the actual scene to make decisions about composition.
