Why The Atlantic And Pacific Meet, But Never Mix

  • Since the advent of the universe, nature has been astonishing people with its unpredictability with many common natural phenomena remaining understudied in certain regions of our planet. How rainbows are formed may just be some of the few phenomena you are familiar with. What about the border between two oceans? Do you know that oceans are not completely isolated from each other? Most of them meet at a certain point. For example, the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans meet at the Cape Horn about 800 kilometers. But then if you thought that these two oceans would simply mix and the border between them could only be determined using maps and coordinates, you're mistaken. The waters of different oceans and even some rivers never mix and this happens for a variety of reasons that are shown in this video. So hit the play button to discover why these strange phenomena.

    Summary:
    - Sсiеntiѕtѕ ѕау thаt wе knоw mоrе about оutеr space than thе dерthѕ of оur осеаnѕ. And thе Atlаntiс аnd Pacific Oсеаnѕ being thе two lаrgеѕt seas оn the planet, covering half of the Earth’s surface, make up the planet’s largest oceanic habitat.
    - Where do the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans meet and never mix? How are they distinguishable?
    - Due tо the diffеrеnt dеnѕitiеѕ аnd сurrеntѕ оf the two oceans, thеу dоn’t diѕреrѕе together саlmlу аnd еvеnlу.
    - The Atlantic Ocean is saltier than the Pacific, which makes the water denser, creating the rough border along the sea.
    - The reason for this strange phenomenon is due to the difference in water density, salinity (Halocline), temperature (thermocline) and current of the glacial meltwater and offshore waters of the Gulf of Alaska, making it difficult to mix.
    - Thе diffеrеnсе in thеir dеnѕitiеѕ iѕ a funсtiоn оf vаrуing ѕаlinitу соnсеntrаtiоn аnd lеvеlѕ оf tеmреrаturе. Density is expressed as mass over volume: which implies that density is directly proportional to mass. And when you put more salt in water, the density of that water increases because of the mass of the water increases.

    - Furthermore, the diѕtinсt dispersion оf thеir сurrеntѕ (surface аnd dеер wаtеr сurrеnt mоvеmеntѕ) mаkеѕ it еvеn more difficult fоr thеѕе wаtеr bоdiеѕ to mix.

      SCIENTIFIC MIRACLE OF
      THE HOLY QUR'AN
      THE GULF OF ALASKA
Gulf of Alaska where two oceans the Atlantic and Pacific oceans meet but never mix.
Almighty Allah says in Holy Qur'an:
" It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water : One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them , a partition that is forbidden to be passed."
      (Qur'an, 25: 53)
" He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. ( the salt water and the sweet)
There is a barrier between them.
They encroach not (one upon the other) (Qur"an, 55: 19,20)
The Qur'an is clearly talking about the existence of ' two seas' water where salty water and fresh water meet but don't mix.
Qur'an is the pri - eternal word of Almighty Allah Who knows everything in the universe.
      Allah says:
الا يعلم من خلق و هو اللطيف الخبير
Should He not know what He created? And He is the Subtile,
      the Aware
It shows the infinite power of Almighty Allah.

This video exists under several different misleading titles. I have been on the ferry coming in near Tsawwassen BC where the Fraser River flows out (at least I think that's what it is) full of sediment, meeting the oncoming ocean water. I don't really understand why people would lie about it like this so much. The psychology of hoaxters is a mysterious thing. And then frequently, the comment sections are filled with people attributing it to God's miracles, and others fighting them, and urging that there's a scientific explanation. Meanwhile everybody's wrong. BC, Canada. Beautiful no matter how it got created, but why lie about something that's so easily checked?

Technically they should mix, because there is a water current that completely circulates around Antarctica. That’s why it’s so hard to heat Antarctica up. This oceanic current around Antarctica prevents any and all warm water from ever reaching it. Only cold frigid water circulates around Antarctica so maybe this is just a surface thing because I know if a current is passing under this it’s mixing somewhere or something very odd is happening.

While we’ve given our planet’s oceans separate names, in reality
there’s no border between them, and currents continually flow between
them and mix their waters. The Atlantic and Pacific oceans ‘meet’ at the
southernmost tip of South America. In this region, a strong current
carries water from west to east, sweeping water from the Pacific into
    the Atlantic.
The videos you may have seen online showing two different
coloured bodies of water drifting alongside each other are actually
showing light-coloured, sediment-rich freshwater from melted glaciers
meeting dark, salty ocean water in the Gulf of Alaska (and over time,
currents and eddies cause these to mix, too).

This isn’t entirely accurate. The image used is basically showing what happens in many parts of the world where rivers and waterways flow out into the ocean and reach a point where they can’t immediately overcome the high salinity of deep sea water. The part about the two not immediately mixing is fairly accurate, but I think saying that the Atlantic and Pacific don’t mix at all is a little exaggerated. The temperatures can play a small role, but it’s easily overcome with a little current.
