Railfanning NC: Early Summer 2024 (ft. AMTK 160, 203, 82, & P40 817, SOU 6900, NS 1065, and More!)

On this episode of Railfanning NC, you’ll see all sorts of neat stuff as summer slowly begins in the piedmont area. We have 2 appearances of Amtrak P42DC, Dash 8 Phase 3 “Pepsi Can” heritage unit No. 160, leading the Carolinian 80, Operation Lifesaver P42DC No. 203 on Carolinian 79, NYC private business car on Crescent 20, Southern E8 No. 6900 doing a test run at NCTM with an all stainless consist, Amtrak P40DC No. 817 leading 20 with a charger trailing behind (which was also one of the first days with a dining car back in the crescent consist), NS 1065 (Savannah and Atlanta Heritage unit) trailing on NS 165, and last but definitely not least is Amtrak Phase 7 P42DC No. 82 leading Crescent 20 out of Salisbury.
