Yeah, I just turned three at the time of her passing. It would have been an honor to have met her in real life. She is so so so inspiring, we can learn so much from her, I know I would've. I'm a musician and a performer. And even though she has passed, she really has inspired/helped me better myself in the entertainment business! She definitely is the ideal role model!! :D
Gosh I can't get over this video. The music, words and images are captured perfectly and intensely! I am for some weird reason under Lilli Palmers' spell. I can't break free! HELP! She has something that has really unbelievably captured my attention like no other actresses/actor. Romy did great in this film as well. All in all you did great with this vid. More to the background, there are only a few photos (so it is known to me), film material, I do not know. Lilli Palmer once said about the film and to the shooting, something like this: "It was exhausting and we were all glad when it was finished." (The film was shot in a very short time.) Romy become a lot of unconscious a few times, she just tipped from the chair....because her mother "Magda Schneider" she sat her on a diet. Lilli then secretly brought her bread and butter with the set.

Hi, probably this comment is too old now to comment on haha. I didn't know Romy has a crush on her teacher at school but I know Lilli was in love with her female teacher in school from age 10 to 14. She wrote it in her autobiography. The director of the film stated that people on the set suspected an intimate relationship was going on behind the scenes between Lilli and Romy also which was quite surprising. There are some things I suppose we will never know. You did share some information I didn't know such as Romy being starved by her mother and Lilly bringing her food secretly. That seems very Lilly. Do you remember which books you found this information in at all?

Sorry, don't mean to butt in but wow, that's kinda disappointing to read :( how the cast was eager for it to be over.It seemed so well done and it looked like it was such a fun set, not to mention Lilli and Romy had great chemistry. Everything was portrayed so naturally, so it's kinda shocking to know they all found it exhausting lol goes to show how talented they all are. Still it kinda hurts to know that for some reason. One of the reasons I don't like knowing what goes on behind the scenes.
It´s true, Magda Schneider don´t liked Lilli, because she didn´t want that she steals her Daughter the show. On the opening night of the film, it should have come to a fight. Magda screamed at Lilli, that she had steal Romy the show in the film. Romy was ashamed, standing there and say nothing about it. This has probably resented Lilli, to Romy.
