Quite baffled at the while chicken shop/corner shop concept: didn’t know it was even a thing😆. I watched that £5 munch years ago and ended up watching loads more because of you. @@TheCNSR Using MSG isnt a bad thing or an allegation? I didnt know that using MSG was bad? Is it because its frowned upon or like "cheating" or what? Id rather have the best tasting food :P Not sure why you see it like that tbh - its seaweed salt. its both a texture and a flavor enhancer actually is what i meant in my og comment since u mentioned it and the strong paprika flavor- If you use msg as you would salt , on oven steak fries/chips , the flavor remains as neutral as the seasoning on the packet says but they become much much much crisper(if u add seasoning , it gets incorporated into the fries crust so cud be overwhelming). Same with chicken nuggets. They become the crispiest thing uve ever seen, its a total gamechanger for the chicken nuggets its a thing of beauty the crunches, dont even add salt after they done- the frozen humidity/oil/fat and msg react to change the texture. Same thing happens with something like pork that has alot of fat , its texture changes but also flavor(as you dont need to add anymore salt/seasoning like you would on beef/chicken cause pork is naturally salty, popcorn its a flavor enhancer when cooked and sprinkled, even sprinkled on walker crisps). For any breaded chicken i would use it in the breading and use the seasoning on chicken before u add the breading or after u make contact with the oil/butter in the pan/fryer- lift midway through cooking once the msg/fat content make a banging texture, season, bang- this way u keep a banging texture and a succulent chicken from the MSG but not overdo the seasoning flavors. Joshua Weismann has a cool vid testing a bunch of stuff out but he even uses it wrong in some cases like with schneitzel/chicken nuggets/fried chicken( didnt put it in breading, or while nuggets cook), its definitely something worth experimenting with, feel its kinda new since MSG has alot of misconceptions in the west ? I wasnt accusing anyone of anything i just tried to explain lol

Funny thing, MSG is super natural and is in a lot of really tasty foods. Mushrooms, Tomatoes, bread/pizza yeast, Cheese. Basically anything with a strong umami flavor.

Aside being salty, MSG almost does nothing that salt wouldn't do, which is to enhance flavor. It's not dangerous to consume in any way and it's been scientifically proven many times over.

The fact the the British are blown away by a restaurant/store💀a lot of Mexican grocery stores in U.S have places in the corner of the grocery store where they sell tacos, tortas, and alot of more not just Mexican food, and then bodega and corner stores that make sandwiches

Still want you to go to Harehills Lane in Leeds. AFC, BFC, FFC and YFC all adjacent one and other, and £5 can still get you two meals, fillet burger + fries and 6 hot wings + fries. Could get a 3 piece meal and kebab meat on top of that for around £9 in total
