No, I think it's just that Toriel left before Gaster's demise, so she wouldn't know he isn't the Royal Scientist. She's just assuming that the kingdom is still like what it was before she left
Sans doesn't mention Gaster, neither does toriel, she simply states a gender, it could be Gaster, but it could also be a monster that has fallen down, but the latter is probably the more likely option.
I have a theory about toriel remembering gaster:
In the game one of gaster followers say that asgore "took so long to hire a new scientist", so maybe the incident didn't erase him from people's memories. What do you think?

While the obvious conclusion would be that whatever happened to Gaster erased him from people's minds, it would still be normal for him to be forgotten during Undertale/Deltatraveler if he was just scattered.
Toriel, whether or not she left before Gaster's accident, spent years, and probably even decades, away from the main society of monsters that she would have very limited memories of Gaster (such as his gender and his role).
Papyrus and Undyne seems to be a bit young to have known Gaster.
Sans loves to keep his secrets.
Asgore took years before appointing someone else as Royal Scientist, and the new RS was appointed because she claimed to have created an artificial Soul.
As for Alphys, she's a nervous wreck due to the Amalgamates experiments, and Gaster's notes were probably written in his font : Wingdings. With that, there's three possibilities :
-Alphys managed to learn Wingdings, read the files, and wants whatever is in there to be kept a secret, desire increased like tenfold with the Amalgamates
-Alphys somehow managed to learn Wingdings after the Amalgamates, read the files and was traumatized even more
-Alphys didn't bother to learn Wingdings after her self-confidence hit rock-bottom and continued to dig deeper, thus she never read Gaster's files, and she doesn't know anything about him.
Actually, if you think it's strange that Toriel remembers Gaster, it's actually not impossible. There's no evidence whatsoever for Gaster actually having been forgotten. That's just fanon that everyone seems to take as canon.
Yeah. If I remember correctly it wasn't that he was forgotten but only a handful of people were really aware of him to begin with. People just assumed "split across time and space" meant he no longer existed in the time he existed in.
The main reason for that is that gaster would overshadow alphys, which is already the case
I think it's connected to the Gaster followers and goner kid. The whole "shattered across space and time" and the everyone forgetting you because of that.
I know it explains that she thinks the royal scientist is still gaster because she's been gone for so long

I think the only part that felt really fanmade-ish was the flowey boss, especially how they call the fh "chara"(in geno) and not a name you typed, also how they have 0 transition to their "downed" phase. The rest of the game is really good and mimics toby's style to the brim tho

53:50. That LV 99 thing actually makes quite a bit of sense. That may not even be Flowey preventing you from seeing his stats and providing you with a big number to try and scare you. We know that Flowey used to be able to RESET before Frisk came along and he obviously would have had some fun with that. Hell maybe he did genocide several times as well. But the thing is, Flowey doesn't have a soul, so either he is automatically has 99 LOVE because he is completely unable to care about other people, or his LOVE doesn't decrease when he RESETS due to the fact that he doesn't have a soul, meaning that he stays incredibly powerful even when he rolls back time.

This game is amazing. Taking the mechanics of both Undertale and Deltarune and combining them so seamlessly is an incredible feat. Plus the character writing feels on point.

The sheer irony that a fangame created just because of a meme is actually really cool just continues to make me laugh. The battle system feels spot-on, the music sounds really cool, and even the chapter boss against Flowey is really polished and well-done. I really hope that they can finish this beauty of a project. I know that they already have the second part out.
god... as soon as i knew why Toriel was shocked and started to run away from Kris and Susie... I had to play the game myself, it felt like it was something I needed to see for myself
I think my favorite part of this game is that Flowey’s attempt to trap you and surround you with bullets is interrupted by Rude Buster no matter how much TP you had. Why? Because you max out your TP almost immediately once the bullets get close enough (them’s the rules in Deltarune), and Susie IMMEDIATELY uses Rude Buster with that TP.
You couldn’t really see that here, since Merg maxed their TP through defending.
I think she may use both Ultimate Healing and Rude Buster.
@@Shalakor She definitely used Rude Buster, but not Ultimate Healing: TP went from 100% to 50%, and Ultimate Healing takes 100% to raise a single person’s HP by 2.
The HP just sort of comes from nowhere. HP is a very nebulous thing in Undertale and Deltarune anyway, representing a vague combination of physical condition, determination, and mental fortitude/resilience. It doesn’t really play by any hard rules to my mind, beyond the meaning of hitting zero.

The "to be continued" dialogue box that appeared at the end comes from the game "Earthbound" (Is the game that Toby made a halloween hack of. The hack that originated megalovania) i can only assume that the rest of the fangame is going to have Kris, Susie and Noelle going through different game worlds.

It's amazing how faithful to both games and the characters and lore this game is! I'm legit impressed
it's kind of funny how Frisk is sleeping on the bed of flowers because that would imply that You, the player themselves, have yet to impose your will/"determination" onto them. it's such a neat little detail and i love it!

After Kris and Susie fell on the flowers they flattened down the flowers, exposing a rock/debris, so when Frisk fell they hit their head on the rock killing them, so when Kris saw Frisk laying dead, he became traumatized by it, because he saw some faint recognition of someone in his own soul, causing Kris to form a repression light in his dreams making his own little white space, and we'll call the new AU Omoritale.
I thought it was just “haha funny this is actually a prequel lol” joke that’s actually clever!
my head cannon is that frisk dies because they ar smaller and more fragile and we posses their cold lifeless body
and he didnt have such will determination because there was a being with the players soul alredy KRIS only one being can have a player soul at a time (unless your playing multiplayer but thats not in undertale nor is canon so SSSSSSHH)
the entire first encounter with flowey is comedy gold
This game's interpretation is that gaster is scattered throughout time and space but not forgotten. Nothing in the game really does hint at Gaster being erased from everyone's minds the moment he fell through the CORE and the Blasters are proof that his influence still exists.
I love how Toriel thinks the royal scientist is Gaster because he wasn’t forgotten, he was just gone for a long time, and we know that he wasn’t forgotten because we hear that it took Asgore some time to hire a new royal scientist because of how advanced Gaster was
I don't think merg gets the refrence but at the end where the text says "to be countinued" i have a high feeling that kris, susie and noelle will now travel between a different game which will be Earthbound.

Honestly, this is Toby like polishment next up is Earthbound i wanted to see paps but that would break the normal storyline of undertale plus tge branching timeline of kris meeting sans probably gave sans a clearer picture of world travel and Time travel like what gaster was doing maybe its what cause sans to become more observant when Frisk came. (I know this fangame ain't canon but its a nice and cool thought for stuff)

Fun fact: In the undertale demo, devouring vegetoid gave you EXP, Implying you killed it.
This was removed from the final game as far as I'm aware.

I love the references it has to both Undertale AND Deltarune
My favorite moment is Kris getting picked up by flowey. I’m an fangirling for the protagonist character to get hurt and then the other characters reactions to it. Idk why i cant explain it but i absolutely LOVE those moment. (Pun definitely intended)

@@marisesarahleiroz3016 eu lembro que eu joguei esse fangame literalmente 38 segundos dps de ter sido anunciado no CZcams(literalmente eu cliquei nas not do CZcams e apareceu lá e eu fiquei intrigado e fui ver kk) e não sei como eu não pensei na possibilidade do Merg jogar kk quero ver ele fazendo a rota genocida agora

This is probably the best undertale fangame ever made. It genuinely portrays what would happen in this scenario PERFECTLY and encapsulates the characters so well, except maybe Toriel, who has a bit too intense of a reaction to Kris at the start of the game. But still, I love this game whole-heartedly. 10/10.

"Wild glizzies" is a joke about how water-sausages/cat tails look like corndogs but they are, in fact, not edible, you get a mouthful of seeds. You can eat the roots and stem though.
