Not cheating. I hate when people just immediately make assumptions without looking at the bigger picture. They had a relationship. For reasons we don't know about, they split up, and found new relationships. Hers wasn't working out, while his seems to be going through a little rough patch as well. Though, he is wanting to stay faithful to his new relationship. She, on the other hand, is wanting him to comfort her. He clearly isn't completely over her (which is something that happens, I see the comments about them staying single until they get over each other [you never know how long is needed]), so now he's conflicted. But, no cheating is occurring. Unless people say that merely talking to an ex is cheating. They are not having a romantic relationship behind their partners' backs.
But if you have feelings like this for another girl you should just end the relationship with the one you´re with now, before you even thinking about calling your ex.
@@amandaarrheden2472 Well, he didn't call her, she called him. And it's clear that he doesn't want to cheat. However, he has complicated feelings over the situation. But the fact is that he does miss her, and she misses him. But he didn't even know she missed him until she called him. So he tried moving on. All the while she did the same. But it turns out that they do miss each other. So what might happen is, yeah, he'll probably break up with his new girl.
If a couple break up, but the breakup isn't mutual, and one still loves the other, should they not be allowed to move on and have any new relationships? This question doesn't have to do with the video, but it's about what you said.

@@jamesonyates2388 No. And not because I think it's cheating, but because I wouldn't date someone I didn't fully love. And even if I did do something like that, if the girl I actually cared more for called me one day and said she missed me and wanted to get back together, then I'd have a talk with my current girl and perhaps break up with her. That's if I care more about the girl on the phone over the current girl.
Also, it wouldn't be sitting next to her. If we're talking about me being in the place of the guy in the video, then it would be "in the next room". So, a room away.
To play the devil's advocate, let's spin this. The song is about two people who split up and tried to move on but they just can't forget each other. There's a connection that they just can't shake. One of them just so happens to be in a relationship at the moment.

The problem is that true love is shining brighter than the fake/terrible love both are getting in their new relationships. Her and her new boyfriend fighting all the time, and it's clear his new relationship is no better. But no cheating has occurred in this song. Just two people in a past relationship realizing their mistakes. They probably will break up with their current others and get back together.

You never know how long it takes to get over someone. Some people can't get over others. Does that mean that they can never get into new relationships? Are they forbidden from ever trying to find new love? And the entire reason for this song is to realize true love, and show that their current relationships suck. It actually is a beautiful song. Just so you're aware, HollaAtKrazy, the reason why Hinder wrote the song, is because the lead singer had actually gone through something very similar to what the song was written for.
Also, the song is not about cheating... It's about a guy who still has feelings for his ex, and she has the same feelings towards him, hence why he is calling her so late at night.
She called him, and the song is a metaphor for the alcoholism he struggles/ struggled with.

There are only 2 things I cheat on and I am not proud about either but I am more willing to say one of the two things are more ok than the other. 1. I cheat on how I should be eating.. I know I shouldn't be eating some foods I eat nor should I be drinking soft drinks (I mean I did have weight loss surgery 2 years ago and have been plateaued for several months not loosing any weight but now I have started putting weight back on so I need to smack myself in the head and get back on track) and 2 (this is the thing I don't feel guilty cheating doing.. I cheat on my cat and give attention to other cats and dogs when I am around them.. my cat seems to know I have cheated and given some attention to another animal and she is not happy with me when it happens.

You misunderstood the meaning of this song. His heart belongs to his ex but they both tried to move on and they can't because they know where their heart belongs. It is a love song. Not a creeper song. You have to read between the lines.
