My question is both durarock and permabase say they have to a sheathing installed anyone know if this is true. I was planning on installing over steel studs over dura rock but stone veneer sales asked what I had durarock on and had me call USG sales rep who said same thing. Anything over 36” should have sheathing

Came out great. Next time layout your stones next to you on a quick mock-up, makes it so much faster to install. Less thinking and selecting stones.

Though I will say I’ve seen durarock on wood studs inside.
