Bill Kindig same it was a huge pain in the ass but i tried every angle and one worked its all the way to the right if your taking one of those mini hangars and go all the way to the left and pull up a little bit so your just about high enough to pass over their gate shit that surrounds the whole base and as some as your clear and heading straight to los santos your good

Easy way : Stay close to ground and keep saving the game using quick save at crucial times. That way when you load.. jet will be damage free and army response will be slow.

To prevent the anti air guns (and enemy jets spawning), simply look behind you while flying away. Make sure you don’t crash into a hill though, lol.
And if this comment is actually noticed, yes this works around 75% of the time (at least for me).

I get in the jet but there is always a tank nearby and when I make it off the ground no matter what evasive maneuvers I make I still get shot down.
If your online you can get a friend to help you take off ;) I helped my friend do that

For those of you who get shot down by missiles, when taking off, fly very low this can stop the missiles locking on to you 🙂👍🏼
@Saurabh Tripathi It doesn't completely stop them, but it helps reduce the fire rate. And when I say low, I mean nearly hitting the ground low.
Another way is to press and hold the R3 analog button (look back) sursprisingly all the firing just stops! It worked 100% with me all 3 characters have the jet in their hangars now lol

Id highly reccomend quick saving right after you leave the fort. Then just load up the save and your jet will be fine
If GTA V had a mission (storyline or strangers and freaks) that involves Michael, Franklin or Trevor infiltrating fort zancudo while disguised as a soldier or military officer, the one that you are playing as(depending on who among Michael, Trevor and Franklin is involved in the mission) will probably get a military outfit unlocked and can enter fort zancudo freely without earning a wanted level the one or ones, (depending if it involves one or two of the protagonists) who is/are not involved will not have a military outfit in his closet and will still earn a wanted level for trespassing

OF COURSE, FRANKLIN'S SPECIAL ABILITY. Hmm. never even thought of that. Of all the missions from the beginning up to the last mission in the main story line, i've never used the special ability. Keep forgetting it even exists, for all i know.

You DO KNOW that this is what the F-16 was originally supposed to look like. It was meant to have twin cantered tails like the F-18. But to save weight and cost, which was the General Dynamics mantra for the F-16 in it's conception, they opted for a single upright verticle stabiliser (tail). It's really cool to see an F-16 the way it was originally intended. Thank you, mate.

In the old Gen (Ps3 Xbox 360) you get the warning first followed by missiles. Whereas in the new gen you get immediately shot down.
You can avoid the rockets by flying really low, the system won't detect you on low ground because it doen't sees it as 'airspace'. Also you should be able to get away before the tanks are there.
i did this and my jet bumbed into a push and left the ground 1 meter and boooom booom
When you fly really low the Radars can't detect you in real life

Rockstar made Zancudo 10 times stronger since the time this video was uploaded. It took me a day's worth of work to even get inside the fucking base.

Depends. Different vehicles have different tracking.
It’s been made impossible. Even if you take out the tank, take no damage starting it up, and take off near no one , you automatically get hit if you leave the ground at all inside the air force base. You can fly to the hanger and the plane will work, but will stall exactly before it gets inside the hanger. Great update.
Omar Peoples I was just trying tonight and yes, it’s impossible. I tried everything (cheats, different approaches, trying to steal different location jets) and none of it worked. The tanks are op and there are almost constantly 2-5 of them out at once spamming you. The rare chance I did actually get into one and attempted to fly away (as low to the ground as possible) I didn’t even get beyond the perimeter fences before I took multiple SAM missiles and was destroyed
Jake Bauer rockstar feels the need to take “op” things out of the game I guess. When it came out, it was easy.
Jake Bauer plus you can fly the plane to trevors hanger, but it will stall out if it lands near a place where you could save it.
I was able to get to trevor's airfield with the jet but the engine cuts off a few seconds after you land so there's no way to get that plane into the hangar. Its stupid
It's very hard but not impossible . Go to the one in the hanger before the tank comes and look behind you for those missiles that's probably the only possible way to steal one

Cheats that you need to steal the jet:
Invincibility - You'll be invincible from any incoming damage
Explosive rounds - This is to defend yourself from enemy tanks
Fast run - You have to be really quick in this situation
Max health and armour - This is to repair your jet in an instance if it's damaged
DOnt know what they did in the latest patch but it's impossible to steal one now.
You can still get one its just really hard. I get them all the time in online. All I do is take the ramp drive to the jet. Go as fast as I can to the jet before the tank comes then kill the soilders around it and then dodge the missiles. Its actually pretty easy

You lose stars almost instantly once u get past the mountain in front of the jet

I've tried this almost 20 times now and I get blown up by the tank or sniped every single time. I fly in with the veyron and I'm at the jet in seconds. Much faster than you. I've also tried three different jets. The tank nails me every single time

Dont Stay In Fort Zancudo For So Long, Or There Will Be About 5 Tanks Chasing You
You need to use Inviciblity cheat. You will be immortal for 5 min. And try to take the Fighter Jet from the hangar.
It's mostly the Missile guidance system that knocks you down. Not the tanks.

Bro I don't get it. In my game tanks spawn IMMEDIATELY as soon as I enter the base and they blow me up before I even SEE the jet.
The hardest past is that after you take off a SAM missile will be fired at you without the jet making the locked on alarm sound. While the missile doesn't destroy the jet instantly, it does cause engine failure that after a while it will stop completely before you may get to a hanger to save it. Still managed to get it with Michael and Franklin though. Trevor's next.

Pssh, I made my own tatic on how to get a jet fighter, and I've never gotten one missile lock on doing it.
It seems all intimidating and hard but once you try a few attempts you can see it's really not too bad
This is not possible, where are the tanks, whenever I enter the tanks come on sec before I even enter the jet, here they can't be seen anywhere, this is not possible

If you are crafty enough you can also sky dive in, and wait until the last second right before you hit the ground to pull your parachute. It takes a little bit of practice because you can't enter the Fort's airspace in a plane, but you can cover enough ground in the air skydiving if you have enough altitude. The alarms don't activate until your chute opens so if you're a boss you can open it right before you go into that open hanger, and land on top of the planes cockpit.

Sucks you can't do this anymore (at least on PC). Every time I have tried this the engine cuts out after a few minutes.
Also, missiles are impossible to avoid now. I literally get hit the instant I leave the ground.

For those get (BOOM) before you actual escape. Stick to the ground with max speed as you can, and only take off when on the base edge. Then now depends on your skills to dodge missiles.

I managed to steal the one in the hangar, by stealing the jet from the airport, flying in to the base, crash landing gently against the hangar, running like mad towards the plane, then take off before the tanks get there. Unfortunately, after I made a clean escape, I started experimenting. Don't hit triangle

I loved stealing this thing! I remember coming up the hill and hearing Kenny Loggins on the radio. The moment I crashed the gate “Highway to the Danger Zone!
The soldiers are like:
“He’s hijacking one of our jets! Get him!”
Somebody else said this but if you save the game at key points then the military is slow to respond. Save again when you have the jet and load to it to reset the damage. It works for the 2019 version just did it
What I find annoying is that the base gives you a warning to divert your course and then starts firing missiles at you right after they finish!
So what do you want to do? Do you want to shoot me down? Or let me at least divert away from the base? I don't care which but make up your fucking mind! You don't warn me to divert from the base and then launch missiles at me once you finish the sentence!

They're telling you to fly away from the zone because its a no fly zone but because you started the plane in there, they fire straight after saying it.
It's just for paper work, if they don't say it then it's illegal to shoot at you, however the choice was predetermined since you were flying in the general direction of a military base

This is for online, but you could always call up Lester to remove your wanted level as soon as you get out of range of the military base.

I think this is XBOX360 gameplay, which is scripted very differently to PC release.
You are best to escape the base by flying the plane low and inverted. Spiraling barrel roll after exit.

To avoid missiles, try to taxi for as long as you reach almost end of the base (won't shoot missiles when you're still on ground), then quickly go up to pass the fence and come back down for a few seconds and you'll get rid of missiles

It ain't that hard just customise your car so it's fast and just drive through it and get to the plane and drive it until your nearby the fences and then fly with it and try dodging the rockets
Lol you don't even put your landing gear away, the jet is faster and more stable if you do
Bit more explaining to those you don't under stand the simplified version. Putting up the landing gear using the left stick will increase your maximum airspeed, maintain direction longer, and makes the nose fall down less.
This annoyed me enough to stop watching

How to Steal a Army Jet Without Getting Wanted Easy: Go to Cletus 2nd Mission. Fair Game. After Cletus Leaves. Get in a Car and Drive to Fort Zancudo and Steal a Jet. You Won't Be Wanted at all and as Trevor go park your stolen Jet at Trevor's Airfield then Blow your self up to failed them mission and then you will Have Your Jet in your Airfield Garage for Free! i try that out yesterday.
It's annoying how another jet spawns behind you and fires missiles which are harder to dodge than usual
Easier way,, do the cleetus elk hinting mission as soon as the mission starts steal his dune buggy drive to the base and steal it with no resistance then fly it to mackensie airfeild and save it in your hangar ,

It sucks trying to steal a jet, but the best way I've found, is to try and scout the sky for the jet already flying, as well as the chopper, to prevent being shot down. Then destroy all but two of the jets on the ground (always have a backup), and destroy all of the tanks (if any).

The amount of 'realism' this game has. Not only can a street thug pilot a jet fighter, but the military stop chasing him after around two minutes.
And let's not forget the fact that even if you manage to sneak in somehow, the entire base immediately knows you're there and goes on high alert.

There is a loophole which get's rid of the wanted level anywhere on map, BUT you can't save the jet/cargo plane at the end of it which is rather annoying.

Got one...it's not easy but not so hard...just need some practice and some skills to dodge the missile
Halimbolt8 9 no u just need to do the side mission for Trevor called target practice it's strangers and freaks, so while ur doing the mission just dont exit the mission and cops will be disabled, but remember to stay in mission, and don't kill anybody or else mission failed. sub to me if it worked

Just before I tell you how to steal the jet/titan, I have to tell you to make sure the path is clear when taking off, so no AI spawns. It's especially important when in the titan since they can you shoot you in the cockpit.
Here's how you steal a jet:
• Make sure there's no personnel around when getting in.
• When you are going to take off instantly look behind you, as a jet spawns behind you if you don't do it as early as possible.
• Fly far away from the fort.
And the jet/titan should be yours, unless you can't do it early on in the game or something.
How do you avoid the missiles?
well durrh dipshit. and here was me trying to hit them head on. Anyway I managed it eventually even though it took about ten attempts.
Just make sure when you hear the sound of a missile about to launch, start swerving (ALOT)

actually I always up flying into an anteena scafolding alongside the motorways when I start try to shoot cars. Actually capturing a jet was a pain. I couldn't quite dodge the missiles in the end so instead I managed to pull off a mid air restore health cheat to repair my pretty much destroyed jet that was plummetting to the ground.
The satisfaction feeling when you successfully stole it.
Here’s the real question. How do you get the fucker to save in your hanger once you actually steal it? No matter what I do it despawns and will not save in the hangar like the ones I buy online.
I'm on next gen (xbox one) and I was about to give up after my 20th try. Then I figured out that you have to look behind you when you take off by holding the right joystick. I don't know why this works but they won't shoot you down.

To do this. You must be in director mode. Turn of the people and cars until you get in the base. Locate a hanger then turn ONLY the cars back on. Get in it. Then turn it back off. Fly away then at a nice distance turn it all back on. Your welcome! 🎉😊

Umm it sounds weird but you need to be close to the ground so they don't shoot you or just be a boss and dodge the misses xD
It is pretty easy to dodge them, just fly like a maniac, circles, flips, loops just move around as much as possible and the missiles can't lock to you very well.

I managed to steal the jet first time i tried, and got to trevors airstrip, and the jet went dead 5m from the garage.. i couldn't get in in.. After that, i died like 20x trying to get it again.. still am..

you should be able fly high enough and lose the cops before the jet fully fails. I've even had it fail before and it started to fall down. quick swapped to michael and back and trevor was still in it

So here’s a tip I found out so during the day the front entrance is not being watched so it takes longer for them to notice during the night. The back entrance isn’t being watched and vice versa for when they are being watched.
It’s all fun in games until the tanks show up….

It's much easier to do it via the ramp onto the runway, you take much less fire that way and to avoid being shot down practically vertical take off is best.
