I love that Jeep so much! My first Jeep was an 81 Scrambler I bought for $2500 off a car lot in Grass Valley. I wanted to drive the Rubicon so bad. I now have a CJ-7 that is built nearly identically to your Scrambler, but in much worse condition. I'd love to completely rebuild it and stretch the wheelbase and tub but keep it low tech with leaf springs and carburetor.
Love that your keeping it real with admission of neglect and then revitalizing. I want to see how far the Zip tie moved after all that

I remember seeing this thing over the years in Peterson's and various other rags. Totally old school build, with old school tech, and it still works just fine.

Hello from Butler Pennsylvania The Birth Place Of The Jeep where the was Born. If it wasn't for the Bantam Car Company Jeep wouldn't Exist. The prototype the Very first Jeep is a site to behold and every TRUE Jeeper should see it and Make their way to Butler PA. Parr of the Original Factory still exists as well. Dave you should come to Butler find a Jeep roadkill it.....Wait till the Heritage Jeep fest next June find a Jeep for sale their. The Heritage Jeep fest holds the record for the world's largest Jeep Parade and Gathering.
hey roadkill crew i was thinking that it would be an awesome ide if you bought a 1927 ford truck and made an off roader or drag racer out of it. and i have a question for all of you. why haven't you gotten more of your roadkill cars as hot wheel toys yet and got one of you cars into a movie yet?
Love your scrambler it has all the perfect mods done to it and honestly trepadors are the best tires you can buy for all kinds of offroad there good in mud on rocks the Australians pit them at the top of the pedestal! Sorry Chapelle! I saw part of this on Chapelles channel! Did you try pulling the spark plugs blowing the water out and trying to start it or did it immediately bend valves or something?

Water crossings, friendly rewinder go slow go slow save yourself a bunch of headaches in the end. End of discussion on that one. I had an m38j Willys jeep for about 20 years with an F head engine in it put that thing in four-wheel-drive low range first gear. It would crawl up just about anything. It was sure slow going, but it would go was very fast down the road in high gear and highway range, but it was sure fun to drive out in the desert Did pretty good in the sand dunes out at Glamis and out in the chocolate mountains to lotta fun back in the day 70s and 80s and 90s even with my blazer my 1977 blazer lotta fun but water crossings you go slow so you don’t drown the engine out and keep track of the water level number one rule for me when crossing water along with how fast the water is running as well.
I've been waiting to see this episode on CZcams to actually see what happened to Dave's butter jeep .I've only hydro-locked one vehicle a 02 s10 I had ,but there's 3 or 4 that's only God knows why they didn't 😂

Why won’t you guys post newer episodes?
They release a constant barrage of new episodes for all the shows. Just not on CZcams. They want you to pay for their streaming service. They have to make money, magazines don't sell anymore. Roadkill is going to be filming at Finnegan's house this week. Dave and Steve will both be there. You won't see it on CZcams this year tho.
