  • My 2007 yamaha xmax 125 was mixing coolant with oil and having relaced the head gasket already the next step was to rebuild the water pump as this is usually a sign that the Oil Seal is failing and leaking coolant into the engine.

    Nice video keep it coming, I hava an xmax 125cc and it doesn’t start I can hear the starter motor but nothing else happens there is no spark (spark is new) the engine light is also on do you know what might be the cause? Thanks

      IF you have the engine light flashing I would troubleshoot that first, when you switch on the ignition the engine light should flash long follow by short flashes example 1 long and 3 short that means its code no.13 and you can look up that error code number.

    My water pump is leaking but oil is not contaminated. Can it be only that red oring seal?

    • @pullumoto
      @pullumoto  Před 2 lety +1

      Is it leaking coolant or oil? If red o ring fails it will leak oil. The gasket which sits between the cover and pump body(impeller side) could also be damaged and leaking and it would leak on the outside.

      @@pullumoto it leaks coolant. I will take a detailed look to see where precisely is leaking.

      @@pullumoto I also believed 125cc and 250cc version are only having a size piston that makes them different :)
      Seems like they don’t :)

    hi,what are those 2 hose pipe that you conected at the end,both are water hose pipe?thank you

    • @pullumoto
      @pullumoto  Před rokem

      the top one that goes to the right that is the thermostat inlet hose and plugs in the thermostat, the bottom one is the crankcase breather and usually plugs into the back of the airbox

      First thing I would do is check your oil color, if it is milky it means that coolant has mixed with your oil and then investigate from where the leak is coming from.
      Another thing to check is your coolant level, apart from being low on coolant you might also have air in your system so it doesn't work efficiently.

      the oil is clean , the colant level is same no up no down
