Father Robert, this is so helpful! Many times we’re so preoccupied with the perfect technique or the right method to pray, but we can’t put God in a box.... He delights in the simplicity of our words and the sincerity of our hearts... sometimes we don’t even need words to express our love to our beloved.... in silence He beholds us and we know that we’re safe in His arms... thank you for making this so much more clear to us.🙏

Fr. Robert… that’s IT! That said by Fr. McCafferty is the thing I was trying to remember when we were talking at lunch at retreat; the explanation by Elizabeth of the Trinity. This was the most recent thing which so changed my life which you had discussed during last March’s retreat, which I couldn’t describe to you during the August retreat.. The concept involves the now as being part of Eternity. This is superiorly important. It makes es real that our belief and trust are divinely part of His gift of our Eternity of our work and praise and our dwelling with Him… always where He abides, and no longer in the temporal.

Yes, yes, yes - true communion - true prayer - is simply to be in the mutual presence of the Divine, to feel, to be aware of the Oneness ..... the connection ........

Pray in private where you cannot be seen and not like the hypocrites who pray that they may be seen by men.

My priest wears a wedding ring and all religious sisters I’ve seen also wear one. As a sign of marriage to Christ.
