I thought you were going to end with "props to you" - Sounded like a really cool event to walk around, talk to people and look at some really unique items.
This is the part of Hollywood I've always been most enamored with, sure there are beautiful actresses out there but the people who work in the background to make everything look real, those are the ones I want to see the most.
Prop Masters for Total Recall and Starship Troopers are LEGENDS! Epic freakin movies and 2/3 of the Paul Verhoeven Sci-Fi Trilogy (original Robocop being the first of said trilogy). 🔥🔥🔥
This should be a regular thing imho. I have never been in the States or on the American continent, but knowing, that this might still exist in the future it might be something to look forward to. Congratulations!
This is the kind of party I like to see...people both young and older, and many in the middle; all with a shared interest!!!! Please invite me next time 😁👍👍
Props to your community for Properly Propelling hope and cheer in this Prolongation of the strike This Party of Property masters probably cost a Pretty Penny but it Properly Pushed People to Participate instead of losing Patience at the Pace of Placement in the Profession ok, i'm P'done
I wonder if we'll see more videos of this get together. I suppose this is one where we'd watch a feature length video on as Scott shows us interviews and the contents of the trailers.
Wow!!! What history!! I would’ve loved to have been there, but they probably would’ve kicked me out for asking so many questions and just saying “cool!” the whole time
So if I understand correctly, Dennis Parrish provided everything Navin needed in The Jerk; the ashtray, the matches, the paddle game, and the remote control. Oh, and the lamp. The ashtray, the matches, the remote control, the paddle game, and the lamp. And of course, the chair. The remote control, the ashtray, the matches, the paddle game, the lamp, and the chair. That's all Navin needed.
Wow for someone like myself who is not in the movie business I would have loved to purchase a ticket. As, I am an Accountant in the northeast nothing exciting about that. 😂
@@ScottPropandRoll Well that last shot is pretty convincing, but you're turning around and your shadow doesn't move, you also almost miss an eye at some point and your audio sounds very indoor-sy. Oh and you're flying over the parking lot in the beginning (I haven't made that mistake in years). Anyways, just messing with you, it's looks like a fun but also informative event.
for once there’s no pun: it really was a tailgate party! and there sure were a lot of movie trailers, but ones that folks don’t want to ignore or get away from until they’re done 🤣 I hate unions and their politics but this is a rare case where even I have to admit good came from a strike as some business cards changed hands and some friends got to meet other friends giving others business opportunities
No, Many smaller productions like music videos and commercials often have non union, even some tv shows have non and union and will flip half way through the show
How did you get started? What was your first "On your own" production? Did your high school guidance counselor sit you down and say "Your aptitude test says you should either be a theritcal physicist or a nuclear submarine commander. Pretty much anything but the move business". And then you rebelled?
WHOA 😳 That's Awesome 👍😎 🤔 how this strike could change media 🌎 rn!! Idk why studios are playing around w it!!! Diff 🌎 in "Tv" or what we watch for Tv time should I say!!!.🤔🤷♀️
Dear Scott, would you like to comment on useless machines as props, like the one repeatedly featured here in sci-fi - czcams.com/video/phPp5oYnps0/video.html Or perhaps everyday objects, repurposed as props, like in "V for Vendetta" when they used a common folding booklight and pretended it was a scrambling device? Honestly, so many people have commented on how obvious that one was! I'm sure you have loads of "inside baseball" knowledge of that nature! So happy that you all had a great time with your fellow prop-masters
This is a get together of major prop-ortions!
We couldn't make it up if we tried. But they all could!
This is adorable!! Talking with peers can be so affirming. I hope this can become a tradition for you all in one way or another.
The Jerk--I'm in awe! The trumpet! Those oil cans! The ashtray, the remote control, the paddle game, and the magazine, and the chair!
I can't believe you forgot to mention the Opti-Grab! Such absolute genius.
This man made the opti-grab
@@Perennial_Curiosity guess I thought it was too on the nose...
@@ScottPropandRoll can you do a video about how he put bullet holes in the oil cans? I've always wondered how that worked.
And I don't need my dog.......
Good on you all for propping each other up in these trying times.
I thought you were going to end with "props to you" - Sounded like a really cool event to walk around, talk to people and look at some really unique items.
What a perfect, proportionally-sized prop party for the greatest living prop masters in the business.

that was nice...like lots of history all in one little place...perfect i would of loved to have been there
Goodness. What a reunion!🎉
Would have liked to have joined in. Best wishes to all.

Now that's a tailgate party of epic prop-ortions
I'm so happy for you and your peers. Congratulations to the Prop Master Guild.
What a great idea. Looked loke everyone had a blast! Maybe a tradition has been born :)
Your channel has convinced that everyone there is a legend in their own right.
Some of the most creative and lovely people in Hollywood
That’s a proper way to have a tailgate party
Wow, I would have loved to have seen all that! Looked like an amazing day
Awwwww, that would be something worth driving my props trailer down from Toronto for. Ours are sitting around right now too.
Props to you for making this video! 👏👏👏⭐
Should make the tailgate a yearly thing!
Awesome stuff!
Am supporting the ongoing strike. You all stay together cause enough is enough. Excellent party! 👍🏼
Time you folks got some proper recognition for all the hard work you do.
I am glad all of you had a Great Party.
Take a shot every time he says prop
It would be awesome to meet each of you and listen to your stories and experiences.
Thanks for all you share with us.
Well, you can hear a lot of those stories on the PMG's Prop Talk podcast...
@@JonReevesLA Thanks. I'll make a note and give it a look.
Enjoy your day.
That's beyond amazing! This is what Hollywood SHOULD be all about! ❤️
Thanks for sharing!
I wish I could have been there. Looks like it was a good time.
You should release a film of that day, I'd like to see the trailer trailer.
You gotta admit whoever came up with the idea did an amazing prop-osition
That's pretty cool tbh. A lot of unknown to most but great prop masters. Drew is my guy! Transformers is my movie! 👍
Wow, that's pretty cool!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Absolutely Amazing! I think that is GREAT prop, master. You are AWESOME! 🎬 📽 🍿😊
What a great idea 💡 👏 ❤❤❤
A proper ending as usual.
That's so awesome, I would've loved to have been there
Wow this is absolutely amazing and such a treat to have been able to attend!
props to you
I was Just at Hollywood!
Damn ! that must have been a great party ! If it wasn't 9 573 km from my place i would have come :)
Too bad we don't do that in Vancouver BC!!! It will be amazing
That is so damn cool, I wish there was a big show open tot the public that was strictly prop and costume people. That'd be a wicked event
That's some tasty lemonade!
Hope you guys can get back to work soon!
Nice! 👍☺️

Aliteral Genius You Are!!
@@ScottPropandRoll What proper praise!
What a way make good out of a bad situation.
That's really cool.

Best wishes to all ❤
How fun!!! ~Cheers
That sounds sooo cool if I lived there I would totally go check it out.
Apparently all prop masters have the same exact fashion sense
Wow!!! What history!! I would’ve loved to have been there, but they probably would’ve kicked me out for asking so many questions and just saying “cool!” the whole time
When stuff goes missing at these kinds of get togethers, it's difficult to distinguish who's prop-erty is who's.
So if I understand correctly, Dennis Parrish provided everything Navin needed in The Jerk; the ashtray, the matches, the paddle game, and the remote control. Oh, and the lamp. I love it.
So cool to see, thanks for this!
That's got to be properly awesome🎉
FYI, I wrote this before I heard the end. Do I still get props for properly?!
Yes
@ScottPropandRoll Thank You!
This channel is propper fun
That would've been so fun to go to.
Can we get a trailer tour?
Trailers full of everyone's PROPerty.. 😅
Thanks for joining the strike. ✊
Wow for someone like myself who is not in the movie business I would have loved to purchase a ticket. As, I am an Accountant in the northeast nothing exciting about that. 😂
I get it man I also always have to greenscreen myself into the party ;)
There’s video of me there! I’m not that good.

And a new annual tradition is made. Prop masters unite as they remember the big SAG and WGA strike of 2023. Never forget what the fight was about.
Oh man I'm in the wrong industry! That looks like so much fun and working on jets is for the birds but hey, I got sucked into it 😏
Ooooo man when was this we could of gone there 😭😭
looks like a fun chance to talk shop and check out other peoples trailers so you can steal their best ideas :D
I guess with such a massive industry, it's inevitable that this idea would "propagate" all the way out to fill the lot.
Who was master of ceremonies?
😂😂 properly that was good
Ya’ll have cool careers. How does one become a prop master? Anyone know?
I met a guy up in norcal who says he worked on Back To The Future... Dangerous Bob? Was he there?
Love and support to the people on strike, and those affected by it ❤

Honest question. Is every aspect of TV and movies unionized?
No,
Many smaller productions like music videos and commercials often have non union, even some tv shows have non and union and will flip half way through the show
Props to booze too.
Sarah IS a dollface.
I would have brought a fake trailer, with the facade of props in outline. Making it an actual prop trailer……
You didn't take your son? I guess I always assumed he wanted to be a prop master too, but maybe he just happy to appear in some of your videos.
Now that's a prop-er party.
Only if “The Jerk” had props.
New sub. Thanks for the channel.
