League One is a graveyard of former top-tier sides. Relegation - putting aside the money costs - will see us losing many of our best players either sold or loaned out. We'd be forced into a rebuild which will then have to repeat all over again once back in the Championship. If down we won't be able to hire players good enough to push us into the Premier League so it will be a rebuild tailored to specifically get us out of League One. Once up we then have to start all over again. It will be an utter mess and waste of several years. On top of that our broadcast revenue would shrink to nothing. We don't make enough money to cover running costs now so if our £9m broadcast revenues shrivelled up to nothing then even more pressure to pay bills. If we went down we'd simply need to deal with it but there is no way it can be a good thing.

It matters more to teams who don't have good revenue. Our projections are unrivalled, even if we get relegated, we will be fine.

    Look what Ipswich have done
We will be more than capable of getting back up as long as we have the right motivation and manager
My worry is more around Tony Mobray and whether he will be up to the challenge , taking into account his health condition and i would assume a plan to get us up out of division 1 or playoffs championship would need to be formulated in the next few weeks with manager being centre stage in the decision making

The problem has been a long standing one, blues haven’t got that winning mentality, they’re fragile, when the players turn it on they are impressive but when the going gets tough they retreat into their shell, and that happens far too often. The club has been drifting aimlessly for years without any strong leadership and this will be our time to go down.

I notice Derby were getting home gates of 30,000 , Bolton 25,000 home gates &, Portsmouth 20,000 , so if Blues are doing well in the league 1, they could get gates 25,000 , which would help them finacially , Some of the players we have now would struggle in league 1 , So a good clear out would benifit all , & I can see Blues doing a quick return to the Championship , you never know , we could do a Luton Town ?

Harry, I don’t think blues will get 25k. I anticipate an average of 16k- maybe 20 toward end of the season if they do well but I don’t think they will tbh.

That's more positive than the rest of the nonsense flying around. The pressure is all on Sheffield Wednesday. We either get 2,3,4 or 6 points, so Sheffield Wednesday will have to get the same results or better to stay up? 2,3,4 or 6.
Plus Plymouth and Blackburn are in danger and they both have tough games.

Let's try and egg on this bunch across the finishing line and remain in the championship.. there's a whole heap of players that won't want to stay including those THAT AIN'T STAYING ..! if we get relegated..? in a way getting relegated will just make things worse on top of it being already dire .. financial constraints in div 1 could make it even more difficult for blues to get out ..buying players and wages will make sure they don't bounce back because of rich owners .. so when the players put on the shirt sat ...PLEASE give it all and everything or don't bother pack your bags and jog on .. so from what i've heard the club owner can give a gift to the club so we could maybe buy the league we just can't have wages above 75% of what we make but if we're smart about it we need to buy good players who will grow with us luton have proved it ipswitch town proved it bournemouth proved it as long as we buy corret and with these owners i think we will i trust them we'll come back up maybe not in the first year but 2nd year definitely so all in buy players to build with us but make sure they are good and fit into the play stayle we'll be fine

Like you I do think we are down as other teams around us need to foul up. Yes some are playing some of the top teams but we are counting on results going for us. As I have mentioned before and as you rightly say, we can shed the players that just aren’t cutting it and yes we will most likely have a complete new squad. It might also take some time for these guys to gel but with the right person in charge if not TM we will be up there and if not top two we will get play offs. The owners will not want to see us in league one for long. Also think of it this way, the new sports quarter will take 5 years, which is more than enough time to get the team up to speed and back to the prem, then we can focus on getting up the league and start attacking better players and winning more competitions, hopefully. Regulation will be a bump in the road not disaster and the club has backers that will see us up there competing with the best. As blues fans we are just not used to success and our time is coming, mark my words. Soon we will be the chat shows hot topic and not Man City.
Let’s hope we can stay up and smooth off the bump a little bit either way blues have some work to do first.

There is no positive outcome of being relegated into league 1. There is no evidence to indicate we would bounce back, in my mind it's unlikely, possible but it's a lottery. I certainly dont think we'll be winning the league, more likely playoffs, and im not joking.

@@SuperGamingBeast1 well they couldn't because this year we were still under ffp next summer we're free from it and they've said funds will be available in the summer and if we stay up we'll make the most revenue out of all teams execpt for ones who come down from premier league that's if we stay up in the championship if we go down we'll take a hit as all teams do but i trust these new owners and feel like they'll be smart about it who they buy and if we buy players to grow with the club it works out better for us in the long run we might not come back up in the first year but 2nd year i think we'll come back up if we went down
