Among all the Sezane lookbook reviews on the CZcams, your video is my favorite of all. Not only you mentioned all the pros/cons of Sezane, but also you talked a lot how to pair their clothes with other things. Thank you very much.❤
Sezane has been using only very warm-toned colors for about a year now. They don’t suit my cool-undertone coloring. The quality has gone way down, too, they don’t even have silk skirts anymore. Instead of high-quality classics, they are relying on extreme statement and boho styles, which aren’t really for me, either. I fell out of love with this brand recently. Thanks for your review, I like that you’re doing it for the lookbook, before everything sells out.
The tabata skirt in the palomba print (blue floral) was silk as was the Adele dress in the same print.
I just got the Victor coat and the quality is amazing! Thick natural 100% wool, double lined with satin interior - I really recommend it ! ❤
GORGEOUS! Thank you so much for the feedback!
Thanks for this fun sezane review❤ . I won’t be buying anything but I definitely use their site for styling ideas. You are so on target with those sweaters looking one way when new and how they look after one laundry . They will stiffen and feel like felt, very uncomfortable to wear.
I wish I could have seen the fabric composition first - there would be so many more this is beautiful but NOPE 😅🫣
It's such a shame about the knitwear - I've been burned a couple of times at this point so no longer willing to make exceptions for their knitwear that isn't 100% natural fibres (no matter how gorgeous!)
Their suede pieces have been sp beautiful. I've been eyeing a suede jacket and long skirt
The only thing that gets me is the price! 😭
I like the Melanie MJs, too, but have the same reservations about them as you do. My toes are wide and, as a petite, the cutting-off effect of the ankle strap is a problem. I’ll keep looking for a more flattering MJ/Babies style in burgundy, their Paula Babies would be perfect in this color (but those pinch my toes a bit, too, even though I size up). My feet are only an average, or C, width, but Sezane’s, like most shoes, only come in the B width. Brands think this narrow toe box makes them look better and, most importantly to them, it saves on their leather cost. But, it’s a big comfort problem for us consumers who have average to wide feet.
If you are open to spending a little more, Aeyde has a LOVELY Mary Jane pump and I find overall their shoes to be very comfortable. I did end up ordering these but in the silver colour as I don't have anything like that, so will see how they go - I'd have to wear these with full length pants or skirts to avoid being cut off at the ankle. Curiosity got the better of me!
Thank you for this video! I ordered the Ambre and the new chambray Chlo shirt. I wish they would make more knitwear in all-natural fibres. The garnet Angie (or the Emile) in 100% merino or cotton would be a dream come true😅😍
Gorgeous! Yes and I feel the same way about their knitwear. Maybe it's a blessing that they don't as it'd probably send me broke LOL
The Louis cardigan comes in the burgundy this year and is 100% merino wool and very soft (I have the navy from last year)
@@pixi78 Thank you! I just returned the Louis in black (mainly because I already have several black cardigans), but I really loved the material. Now I'm tempted😂
Love the overall vibes of the collection and I'm a big fan of the colour palette, but disappointed at the poly content of a lot of their pieces, particularly their little cropped coats which are super cute. But I just treated myself to the Will camel suede jacket and we're heading into spring anyway! My favs are the nicia dress in green, the vicky loafers in brown, the max shirt in courd and also the ecru/black check, and the auguste jacket. But I won't be buying anything as I'm on a low-buy year.
Hey mademoiselle, you should keep an eye out for next year's winter archives. I remember there being quite a few sizes of the Mederick coat in powder blue that were not sold out when they closed the previous winter archives.
OOOOH That is incredibly tempting to know - I'll have to keep an eye out when they reopen the archives. Thank you for the heads up!
I do not know what issue you got with washing cardigans with mohair and polyamide. I have a Miele washing machine, I throw it in and wash it wool program cold with Woolite and 600 rotations. Perfect! Nothing happens to the fabric. However, their cotton stuff shrinks already at 30 C.
Do you know what that leopard sleeveless number is called? I couldn’t tell
I love Sézane in general but think I like very few things in this new collection. For example, I think it's really silly to design a coat with an integrated scarf, which is a rather unlikely and not at all versatile thing. I don't really like the colors either, apart from the red and camel together, but otherwise, it's classic and over-classic.... So, without me, but thanks for your sharp & good analysis! I love your style.
Interestingly a scarf coat turned out to be one of my most worn items of autumn, but I do agree that I think it's better if it's not fully integrated. NZ brand Marle have done the best iteration of this that I've seen as the scarf can be removed and worn separately so you're not committed to quite a *specific* look which I think in later years we'll be able to directly tie back to this period. I'm curious to see how they have executed it when it actually does release but it's not on my wishlist at all.
You hit the nail on the head though - perhaps a lot of this collection won't appeal to those who prefer the more detailed designs that Sezane often do as much of the styles are repeats of classics in new colours, or quite simple designs (probably why it appealed to me so much!). And colour is such a personal thing. But I think if you've been buying from the brand for a while, you likely have a lot of the core style themes that they featured. Curious to know what other Sezane lovers think about this!
I think the things I liked most were those beautiful pops of colour - the red in particular. One of my favourite items from the collection didn't even feature in the lookbook (at least, not that I recall!); a powder blue sleeveless vest in 100% yak. Seeing the fabric composition of all the knitwear largely confirmed what I was anticipating - disappointing as I'm always drawn to the styles but I just wish they'd just do primarily 100% natural fibre knitwear. I was surprised by the new Farel jacket composition - I was assuming based on appearance it would be flannelette exterior, not the wool blend that it is. I've had that jacket on my wishlist for a while so that was the thing that pushed me over the edge to go and order the white one instead (95% cotton, instead) which TBH is probably more practical for me
Hello dear, thank you for the video! In this collection I like so much the Terry jacket in camel, which is 75% wool and 25% poliammide. I’d really love your personal opinion about it, both for the shape and for the composition. I own the Fiona white is similar but in suede. Thanks again! Gemma 😊
I have to admit, I was a little disappointed when I finally got to see all the fabric composition information. For the price I'd want to see a higher percentage of wool IMO (90% or so), I think you can get a better deal elsewhere as gorgeous as it is. The shape is lovely though and I think an update on this coat?: seza.ne/QpXDKvHgVK
These ones are all 100% natural fibres: seza.ne/QVZhNWrzKW OR seza.ne/Q9Yeynggtq OR seza.ne/QzwR3rCE9C (not all variations in different colours are, though!)
Thank you so much for your sincere thought and for the alternatives, to tell the truth I am looking for something short, in fact I am also considering the blazer Christie Jacket … no hurry fortunately but thank you very much, I appreciate!!!!!
Do you know Lanidor beand?
It's beautifull and have great quality.
It's a portuguese brand.
Take a look. 😊
Going to check them out now thank you for the recommendation! x
Thier prices are ridiculous
Pricing seems in line with previous seasons, but yes definitely up there! Curious are there any other French brands like this that you would recommend instead that are more affordable etc? Would be great to share with everyone else here!
Balzac Paris, Rosae, Rouge, Mister K, Sessei, Songe Lab, Soeur
Really ridiculous prices when the materials are not that high quality- viscose and split leather (lowest quality there is!)
Finding 100% wool is getting harder and harder. I think a high percentage of wool fot coats and jackets is ok.
I knit my own sweaters in wool.
Agreed! I was trying to source a 100% wool coat for a client and it was impossible to find anything at an affordable price point and even most mid-price brands now have blended wool coats :/
And. love this!! I want to get into knitting in the next year :)
I love the cardigan you’re wearing!
