Publisher Stefan Rundel and composer Martin Scharnagl developed the idea to produce a beautiful, soft polka with the title “Zeitlos” (timeless). The music should have space for lyrical melodies and expressing big emotions. Martin Scharnagl decided to create a different kind of polka with more complex harmonies than a “typical” traditional polka. You could almost call “Zeitlos” a symphonic polka. As a special feature, Scharnagl purposely switched the usual order of the polka parts. Directly after the chorale-like introduction, you already feel like hearing the lyrical trio part whereas the actual trio part sounds like the first or second part of a normal polka. Another feature is the use of so-called mediants. That means that Scharnagl works with third relationships within the keys, which is rather unique in polka music. “Zeitlos” basically reflects Martin Scharnagl’s musical philosophy: He wants to strike a new path with his compositions - even if they belong to traditional musical genres. Just like his very popular and successful polkas “Von Freund zu Freund”, “Augenblicke” and “Neue Wege”, his new piece “Zeitlos” proves that a polka can be versatile, exciting and just “different”.

Was auch immer an diesem Stück für Sie langweilig erscheinen soll, ich kann es nicht nachvollziehen. Scharnagl hat denke eindrücklich bewiesen, dass Polka nicht gleich Polka ist, und eben viel mehr dahinterstecken kann - von daher super Stück :)

@@asdasdasd5123 Sie müssen auch nicht nachvollziehen können, warum der Musikgeschmack anderer Leute nicht zu ihrem passt. Ich teile die Meinung, dass das Stück langweilig ist. Das ist nicht mehr und nicht weniger als meine subjektive Empfindung. Sie hingegen finden das Stück "super". Beide Meinungen sind völlig ok. Keine davon ist falsch, keine richtig.
