Glad you are making videos again!!! I can soooo relate to what you said about that one song that you connect to! I grew up living in a tough community where I was just picked on by practically every student in my grade...growing up has not really been that easy and so I felt like music was my one true companion and so before this one friend who was like my first best friend whom died of cancer my freshman year of high school, I had listened to Simple Plans Welcome to My Life andJames Durbins Screaming, and I was like “ Oh my gosh this is how I feel about growing up.” And in private I had sung my renditions if it and I started to cry a little bit because all of those painful memories came flowing back to me.

OMG.. I can relate to every single word and story about the boy like whoa .. and that song is so amazing I play it here and there because of that but it helped me get through the breakup as well, it's one of my favorites! And very sad but music in general has helped me a lot to feel stronger.. I've had an instance recently where God said no with a person even when it didn't make sense which was Super hard! I too got dragged in a bit tho, yet held to His no and in the end saw his true colours. Praise God for His absolute love and care for revealing these things to us when He didn't have to! Yeeesssss I’m so glad you u decided to go on American idol I remember watching ur videos before u came on the show and I would pray that one day I would see you on tv. I also really do enjoy singing but know one knows about it and I’ve been wanting to start a CZcams channel but I get scared that I’ll have hate on it or will get made fun of. If u dont mind me asking can u give me some advise on how u handled it at school when people found out or how u had the confidence to make one?

I can see God working through you- through your incredible voice he gave you, and your love and compassion for others. Thankyou for being so encouraging and for sharing your story. And one of my favorite verses that’s really helped me through the unexpected twists in my life is Proverbs 16: 9 “In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.” I hope you find it encouraging too :))

I had this really deep conversation with my friend yesterday and we were talking about how we feel helpless, and that we have no where to go in life. After watching this as a Christian I know God WILL have a plan for me an everyone who obeys and follows his path. I may not know what that thing is but he will lead me towards it, I can’t just think it will all happen over night. Thank you 🙏🏼

After a while I realized how absorbed and built I was by what you said in this video. You had a lot of good points on believer's life. I think that other people can find some good patterns for their struggles. To hear you and your sister singing is a great pleasure but this video I find the most important.
Since you obviously are a good speaker, why don't you make more videos like this one?
If a young person is fortunate enough to have caring parents, always tell them what happened and ask for their advice and try to follow their advice.

The way you explained everything especially in the end of your video , is literally everything I needed to hear. I love your voice and I love your makeup and I love you so much! REALLY cool that you did a video like this. I made it through the entire thing. Having watched several of your Mom's videos, it's so interesting to hear you tell it, and see a younger version of your Mom. I believe you are influencing and encouraging your peers and fans, and God is using you in an amazing way. It's encouraging for me, to see a young person so aware of the pitfalls and dangers that the world system offers. We can be IN the world, but not OF the world, right. How can we be a light unto the darkness, if we don't venture out ? You just seem so, so full of life, and God is teaching you so much. Not sure if the guy who pursued you was a wolf in sheep's clothing, but I get it, sometimes wisdom is a learning process, and emotions can cloud our thinking. In the end, you denied self, picked up your cross, and obeyed God. The veil was lifted and you were free for God to work. Sixteen years I've been a believer and you know what I am still learning ? That if I seek Him FIRST, and do things decently and order, He will work everything else out. Thanks for sharing your story. Now I have a humble request for a new song by Haven Avenue. Aww this made me tear up! I really wish I was closer to God, and now I truly believe I can get there. I got emotional because although my family is Christian, we started to stray away from following all the God wants us to do, and we stopped listening to him. I will be honest, I do not listen to my parents enough. I always assume they are wrong, even though I know that they only want what's best for me and that God put them in my life to guide me. But even when I was completely ignoring what God wanted me to do, he still loved me, and I know that because I would hear him and feel him at certain points in my life. I had an experience similar to yours, where I felt like God was telling me something, but I won't get in to that. But wow, this just showed me how much I was missing when I wasn't listening to God. Genevieve, I know I tell you all the time, but thank you so much for being a light in my life! Because of you I feel a change in my behavior towards my family, and I feel myself getting closer to God. I am so glad I watched this video and that I discovered you, you have no idea how much I needed this. Remember that everything in life happens according to God's plan, and I know he has big plans for you! I feel like my life is changing right before my eyes!

My daughter is a singer as well, you're sing styles are very similar, if you lived in So Cal and you two met you would be great friends, I have just shared this video with her as she has struggled with career directions and finding a Christ centered guy, almost identical to your story, she has a very busy work schedule, but I hope that she will take the time to watch this video i think it will encourage her. Love how close you are to your parents. As a Christian you are right, your parents are there for you to learn from and of course for you to honour.
Love how God led to where you are now, it’s amazing to look back and see how it all links together. Of course we’d like to see ahead what we should do, but that would be too easy!
