I've learned all my 3x3 from J-perm. Then i found this for the 4x4. I find this 4x4 tutorial easier to learn than the method J-perm teaches. Really great job!
I learned to solve the 3x3 Rubik's cube in literally 30 mins, I definitely underestimated how much harder the 4x4 would be, anyways this helps a whole lot because some of the tutorial videos are too long or skips steps.
@@thesimonshi i dont really understand on pairing the edges, do i need to pair them with the right colors? Or it doesnt matter where i pair them as long as it has the same colot as the other one

I have learnt to solve my first speedcube from cubehead but I did some mistakes on the second layer but still got it right and till to day I use the same mistaken algorithm to solve the 4by4. Thank you Simon for teaching us to solve the 4by4.❤❤❤❤😊
Why did you edit out the bit where you say, just solve like a normal 3x3 cube?, I can solve a 3x3 by doing white cross, then white corners then centre layer edges then yellow top layer, how the hell does this equate to a 4x4?
@@thesimonshi But Simon thered something bothering me at the last step when you need to do the parity things When I done the cross none of the edges In the top correspond with the same color like the 3x3. Like the Blue/Yellow edge It doesnt correspond with the Blue/Yellow edge too. How can I Fix that?

I did the whole thing to the last 3x3 part when I realized I swapped the red and blue centers 😭I'm gonna take a break and come back later Edit: ok so I took a break and got it ! 😁
In the first glance I got stuck this happened several times but finally I learnt how to solve the 4×4×4 Rubik's Cube but still I get stuck in the OLL parity I am quite better just in a day I hope I will memorise all algorithms in 3-5 days thanks Simon 😎❤️😀
Not sure what method I learned the 3x3 but I solved the top layer corners first (correct positon and orientation) then put the top layer correct sides in. Then they be 2 different top layer side oriention to solve (I shape or two sides not solved next to each other shape). Replicating this on the 4x4 it does something odd, normally need the end 1 top side will be positioned correctly then with 1 algerythm I'll solve the top sides into correct position but on the 4x4 I've got 2 in correct position and 2 not... Never had that before on a 3x3

i really like your tutorial yet maybe you could say to imaging the 2 edge pieces as one on a 3 by 3 as when you said solve it like a 3 by 3 many people got confused
