It's truly heartbreaking knowing that we could've got not one, but TWO versions of KOTOR 3 and somehow we ended up with neither. Have you ever heard the tragedy of KOTOR 3? It's not a story Lucasfilm would tell you... ANYWAY, let me know down in the comments your answer to today's question! Really looking forward to reading everyone's thoughts!

If it were me, it's the fact that regardless of the choices you did in the main duology, it always leads to the canonical Legends timeline... take for example, even if you did full Dark Side runs as Revan and the Exile, their tyranny and unabashed evils will be miraculously undone by the offscreen events of this proverbial KotOR III, which then leads us to a dark age with little or no records of it remaining come 138 ABY and things going back to the status quo by the time the New Sith Wars began less than 2,000 years after KotOR II.
Oh, and the origins of the Chiss Ascendancy and its rivals, for one.

Personally, the thing I would've loved the most would be the story and game play opportunities. Maybe a four man squad like in Dragon Age with both Revan and Meetra as pseudo-maditory-co-PCs with both getting their own solo moments. It would've opened up squad building a bit to have Revan act as a main melee fighter with Meetra acting a a jedi support, T-3 as a solid skill member and another to round things out. Dialog and story would be interesting to balance out but I feel it would've been awesome! Alas... the closest we'll ever get to this is one Flashpoint storyline and a lack luster book...

Here’s kind of an off subject question that just popped in my head while playing KOTOR 2 tonight. When Mandalore meets Meetra Surik for the first time, he makes a comment about “her army” at Malachor V and that she “seems capable”. That obviously stated he knows she’s a Jedi, and probably that he knew she was in the Mandalorian Wars. Later, Kreia confronts him about their “agreement”. But the question I have is, does he actually know who the Exile is? Or does he just know her as a Jedi that some old woman is coercing him into protecting? Knowing Canderous, and how reverent he was towards Revan in KOTOR I, one would think he’d at least be a little favorable towards Meetra for being Revan’s most capable general (who Kreia remarks is respected by the Mandalorians) and led the force the Mandalorians fought at Malachor V.

KOTOR III would have been the battle of 5 armies; The Mandalorians, HK 51s, the Republic, the Jedi, and the true Sith. It would have been endgame.
Playing as the exile would have been cool, you'd get to speak with Revan, discuss Kreia's teachings, maybe you'd get to pick who comes with you, new companions as previous ones take on boss roles. Baestila/ Mical leading the jedi, HK 47 leading the HK 51s, Carth leading the Republic, Canderous as Mandalore. Would be epic to see.

Even without further nod to ESB, HK being strapped to the Exile would’ve been funny enough. Chewie was big enough *not* to be hindered by 3PO, as well as 3PO made of light metals. HK was taller than the Exile, looked to be of heavier plates of metal. Even with the Force, the Exile would be putting in a whole lot of effort to carry HK, maybe hunched over even. Imagine the Exile hunched over, barely able to move all because of a broken robot that weighs a few hundred pounds.
Exile: “If you were a person, you need to go on diet.“

What I wished we got out of a KOTOR 3 the most is seeing how the foundation of both sith and Jedi grew from the teachings of Revan. Obviously Revan’s philosophy was far more sith then what we think of as lightside, but every learned force user alive was directly involved or learned from someone close to Revan. Revan was the shatterpoont of the force.

2:45 I always found the relationship of HK and T3 a bit underrated, with that pair being C-3PO and R2 from the Old Republic, but with the roles reversed. While C-3PO is a coward who only thinks of staying away from the fight because of his status as a simple translator and R2 is an intrepid adventurer who wants to make the best of life, HK craves the complete destruction and anarchy of the Galaxy in as opposed to T3's kind-hearted and compassionate nature. Both couples, despite being of different natures, have in common how well their opposing personalities create a great chemistry and even a unadmitted friendship.

Consider the droids and the one to carry them. 3PO looks like he has lighter plates of metal, and is carried by someone who isn’t bothered by his weight. Then there’s HK, his metal plates looks thicker and heavier, he’s taller than the Exile, never mind Revan. Either the Exile or Revan trying to carry HK would require the Force, or else they wouldn’t be able to move.
HK: “Exasperated statement: master, is this the best you can do?”

i wanted to see kotor 3 reveals why the exile and darth revan were so immensly powerful compared to the rest of the galaxy, explaining that they ascended through the teachings of the secrets of the trayus academy by being able to mix 2 classes, or ingame explaining how the trayus academy gave one who is a better duelist the ability the become a more potent force user and the other way around, basically the origins of "the one" prophecy by becoming a complete jedi/sith, since the classes (weapon master vs marauder/ watchman vs assasin/ historian vs sith lord) are pretty much identical, explaining that when revan went to the trauys academy he was searching more information about the force just like kreia explained in kotor 2, but what he found was more down to earth, like the secrets of an ancient martial art scriptures in movies. basically he found the best place to learn how to master both the lightsaber art,the force powers art and the stealth powers art, by visiting the trayus academy, he burned into his mind all the secrets and became a savage force, kreia who followed revan path latter, found it as well and passed the knowledge on to the exile.
therefore we got to ascend at level 15 to "prestiege" class.
when darth revan lost his mind, he became a non force user for a while, which kreia relates to that as POWER, since he followed his ideas and experience, and his creative solutions instead of following the whispers of the force, and by becoming complete, he finally is the strongest being he could be, only matched by the enemis of kotor 3 and the exile who's passed the same trials and errors.
both experiencing time without the force as their ally/tool,both being able to learn multiple classes, both finding the faults of the jedi and the sith, both experiencing the tragedy of a loved one lost, for revan it was malak, for the exile it is kreia.
both seeing how the force can restore a dark being to the light through love and corrupt a good being into the dark through love, revan to bastila / the exile to atris.
both felt how force wounds work, the destructive nature of it, and how it effects the rest of the galaxy.
the enemies of kotor 3 should be the progeny of sith masters who bathed in force wounds and became hungrier for it, seeing nihilus in kotor 2 shows us the POWER these guys can have, but also their limited abilities to function properly.
i wanted to see in kotor 3 the combination of rakatan force devices combined with the true sith and with rakghouls alchemy.
i expected to see in kotor 3 universal scale bosses.wars on relevant planets, planets that we as revan in kotor 1 and the exile in kotor 2 prepared for a battle, dantooine is either united by it's people by the end of kotor 2 or controlled by an army of mercs, telos is united under carth onassi, kashyykk is united under zaalbar, hk factory, dxun with the mandos, manaan regards to revan as a hero for saving their fish god, onderon under queen talia or vaklu, either will help the exile, even m4-78 is under the exile control, so basically the galaxy may be after a decade of war, and there lots of lost people in nar shadda, but they are ready to be recruited into any faction they desire, all under revan and the exile.
i expected obsidian kotor 3 to be about how revan and metra giving up the force while using a mass shadow generator like device to win completely.
i want to point out 1 last part, if the exile is light side and revan is dark side or the other, i expect this to be the last battle of the game.

I think I mentioned in a previous video but if Exile was again the main character I would love to focus on different aspects of the Force.
Example- Unkown Regions Sith had such an influence on the force that it would make Exile weaker (hence player starting on a lower level), and game would focus on the Exile trying to figure out the way to diminish the effects of the dark side on her.
I would see 3 paths- using this new dark side and not trying to lose herself to it due to sheer willpower and sense of duty (which would be taught by Revan maybe?)
Doing so much good to this part of galaxy (which is suffering greatly under sith command) that it would restore some balance to the force, therefore restoring Exile's more jedi-like powers.
And a third, some sort of ezoteric way, Exile style. Perhaps there would be a side quest related to some ancient sith species, that despite being natural born dark siders had a cult destroyed long time ago that would use a new way of the force? Maybe some void powers, negating force effects around them, which would massively debuff force users therefore giving an edge to Exile, who knows how to live outside the force?
Each would allow for some different ending, naturally the cool way to do it would be having 5 endings- good "sith" ending, bad "sith" ending (losing herself to the dark side), good jedi ending, bad jedi ending (probably dying at the end because sacrifice and selflessness is the most important, getting way too classic jedi) and exile ending being the fifth, not exactly good or bad but probably canon.

Think about it, if we we’re gonna possibly face off against and learn about ancient Sith, wouldn’t it just make sense to learn about the ancient Jedi in the same game? This is a very biased view as I’m not the biggest SWTOR fan but I think if SWTOR never happened, it would’ve been interesting if one of the things from that game survived in KOTOR 3😅.

It may not be KOTOR 3, but it's been really fun trying to figure it out. I'm still planning it, but I have like 200 characters planned along with locations that I feel would be great locations for the story. I wanna tie in events from the Great Hyperspace War all the way to the Dark Wars since they heavily reference things from that era. I am also pulling bits of what I like about SWTOR, but only to repurpose them for my version of the narrative so no killing off Meetra in a anticlimactic fashion and no "spirit Kreia". It's set 5 years after KOTOR 2 and focuses on rebuilding the Republic and Jedi Order, along with exploring the idea of the True Sith Empire with the main narrative hook being that Revan and Meetra disappeared and my 4 players will gradually discover clues about where and why they disappeared as the campaign progressess.

I have an Idea about Kotor III.
The Game would take place 500 years after the events of Kotor II, you would play as the echoed one, a Jedi who was sent 300 years ago by the reformed Jedi order to track Darth Zelthron, a Sith Lord obsessed with Prophecy and the findings of Darth Revan.
You would wake up in a tomb in a temple where you lost all your connection to the force, besides you are the names of Jedi and Sith scattered throughout the other tombs.
Suddenly you would meet a bounty hunter by the name of Taron, who would ask you how you came to be inside the temple as those who ventured in it never came back and then ask who are you at which point you will respond.
Taron will guide you to the main city where you will have to find a ship and get out as you are being pursued by Bounty hunters employed by an unknown buyer who wishes you dead, not even captured.
Your main task is to find your remnants of your order and track down Zelthron and Revan, along the way there will be multiple plot twists about your nature and that of your companions as well as questions about the force and it's nature as well as the echoes it transmitted before and after your coming.
Your main enemy will be a subconscious shadow of your past which you will have to confront to find peace with yourself and the force.

I try to imagine someone seeing A new hope and Empire strikes back then telling them to see The force awakens. What I hated most about Meetra and Revan meeting in the novel is that Meetra kinda just fell back into being a follower of Revan after all the growth she had experienced during KOTOR2. She absolutely should of been presented as someone on par, an equal to Revan, as oppose to just "falling back in line." I would of loved to have seen the original plans for how that interaction went as I highly doubt in involved Meetra following Revan as blindly as she did, especially considering blindly following others was something Kreia STRONGLY taught her not to do, and something I felt she would of really learned based on all the events of KOTOR2.

If KOTOR 3 was to ever happen, I'd keep the True Sith Empire being hidden from the galaxy with most of them bring red-skinned Pureblood Sith (with some of the higher ranking Sith human). Their aim is to launch a full scale invasion of the republic. We go to the unknown regions to search for Revan. Revan has found the True Sith and has been engaged in gorilla warfare since the end of KOTOR 1. I'd make the Sith Emperor different to any other Sith, I'd make him relatable with his aims (protecting his people, wanting revenge on the republic who tried to exterminate them) whilst at the same time making him extremely powerful (but not God tier). I'd have multiple endings with one of the choices being able to side with the true Sith and betraying Revan/the Jedi. I'd even go so far as making the True Sith winning the Canon ending hence the "once more the Sith shall rule the galaxy" quote from Sidious. I quite like the idea of all of our efforts through the first 2 games not counting for much from a military perspective (since the republic has been weak for 2 games now - surely a secret Sith Empire would crush them easily) but rather from an ideological perspective, the new Jedi led by the Exile are stronger! The republic might have been conquered but the Jedi are still here.

In a way, that is what Kreia wanted for she hated the fact that the Force pre-determined all life's paths and fates, no matter who or what and their situations. And as you know, it is quite rare for a Sith Lord's "essence" or "spirit" to be truly one with the Force post-death. They stubbornly stay behind to try and reach their goals through other means, albeit sometimes they forget who they are. In the midst of this 300 years span and knowing that Vitiate was as powerful as all Force users in the Galaxy combined, I wouldn't put it past him to be able to twist Kreia's broken spirit into the Entity.
