Something I would like to point out, I think sicarian infiltrator is a must include in all lists. Squad triggers on ETB, so it’s not 5 mana draw 4, it’s 5 mana draw 6, 7 mana draw 10 (because you’ll make twice the tokens you normally would off of squad)

Some of my personal favorite includes in my Yarok deck:
    - Mosswort Bridge. Yes, it enters tapped, but if Yarok is out, you get to hideaway two cards with it. And the real kicker, when you activate the ability to cast the card, you get to cast both!
    - Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and Spark Double, because why have two triggers when you can have three or four?
    - Mirror of Life Trapping and Portcullis. They're kind of weird and VERY chaotic, but you essentially re-ETB every creature that you play, while also screwing things up everywhere.
    - Woodland Bellower. Very versatile. Grab two creatures from your deck? My usual go-to is a Tireless Provisioner and Springbloom Druid. Nets you 8 treasures immediately.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Sicarian infiltrator is even better than Joey made it out to be.
Squad says "when this creature etbs create that many tokens..." If I'm not mistaken, if you pay the 2 mana, you'll get the token copy twice with Yarok out resulting in 3 creatures and therefore drawing 6 cards. Pay 4 additional mana and get 10 cards and so on

Primaris Eliminator - Mini board wipe or pop the biggest threat a versatile card.
Ulvenwald Hydra - Tutor your Field of the Dead while providing a big body.
Field of Ruin - Non-basic land destruction is underrated, landfall trigger, mana fixing and provides massive card advantage with Sire of Stagnation use this and Demolition Field.
Glasspool Mimic - Clone effects are strong in Yarok to double up ETB triggers and it can be used as a land.
Shared Summons - Grab the right creatures at the right time, Yarok decks are mostly creature focused.
Skyclave Relic - Double the tokens it creates with Yarok on the field to have a big burst in mana advantage the next turn and to help pay for Yarok tax as it's a kill on site commander.
Few other card ideas for people.

I understand the budget restrictions that the OP was constraining himself to. If you're not worried about that, then I recommend playing Scapeshift, and either Splendid Reclamation or World Shaper, or both. I think this deck doesn't need Harrow, because you probably only want 2-3 of each basic land and like all of the dual and triple lands that are in our colors. I also really like Mirage Mirror and Oubliette. The mirror can hold off opponents by threatening to copy some big nasty creature when they swing at you, and then you can copy your own Avenger of Zendikar or Field of the Dead for even more counters or zombies. I also like Vesuva. In my deck, as a fun win combo, I play Simic Growth Chamber, Sakura-Tribe Scout, and Retreat to Coralhelm, which can give you unlimited landfall triggers. I also play Piranha Marsh and Cloudstone Curio. Also, budget or no, I think Ob Nixilis should always be in the 99

Shouldn't Necromancy only be attached to the last creature? I'm saything this because of Bruna, Light Alabaster when she attacks/blocks you may attach any auras to her. It doesn't say move them to her, but that's what happens and those auras aren't still attached to the original creature.
(My take) Necromancy should lose trach of the first creature but will only make you sac the second if it would leave play.

    • @radiac6818
      @radiac6818 Před rokem

Without Yarok, if you move Necromancy to a different creature in play, like with Crown of the Ages, the original necroed creature still remains in play and will still need to be sacrificed when the Necromancy leaves play. The fact that it's no longer enchanting the creature it had originally resurrected doesn't change that. If you have Yarok, the ability triggers twice , resurrects two creatures, one at a time, and will end up attached to the second one. But the first trigger that rezzed the first creature is still in effect and will still cause you to sac that creature when Necromancy leaves the battlefield. So when the Necro gets disenchanted, you have to sac both creatures. I think.

I'm pretty sure it's because not everyone plays the same lands, and since it's an _average_ decklist, the individual lands get outplayed by other cards. If A plays one extra Forest, B plays a swamp, C plays an Island, and D plays a utility land, that land slot may not show up, because it's only in 25% of the decks as that land. Add in various forms of ramp, and that percentage gets much lower. Computers are fast, not smart

@@joedoe7572 Interesting theory. If that is the case it would be a huge mistake!
I tried finding some info on how EDHREC accumulates its data but
couldn't find much beyond the data sources.
However, I doubt EDHREC counts lands this way. If it did, land numbers
would be higher on average in mono-coloured decks because people play
more basics and there's more overlap of non-basics (just fewer good ones
available). And the reverse would be true for five colour decks. It's
not a statistical analysis, merely anecdotal evidence, but I just
checked most of the one/five colour decks in the top 200 and can't see
      a pattern like that emerging.
Also, speaking of data sources, EDHREC pulls from several deckbuilding
websites - all of these track the total number of lands in decks. I'd
assume that it would be much easier to compile the averages from that
data than to count lands in a different manner.
Would be interesting though to get a glimpse behind the curtain how the
      data aggregation actually works.

In total shock there has been no mention of Woodland Bellower in the vid or comments. It is hands down an S+ piece in any list. As a base combo (with yarok in play) you use it to find springbloom + tireless provisioner/cobra to create 8 mana and 8 landfall triggers, then you are set to pop off with the rest of your hand. You can also opt to search for a glasspool mimic to net you +1 bellower trigger. Otherwise, bellower is super versatile and can find you just about anything you need for the game state, and the trickling of effects while yarok is in play often wins on the spot regardless of deck strategy.
A personal favorite, though awkward to cast is Bolas' Citadel. Using it with an "additional land per turn" effect in play really churns out tons of value and i find my personal list to already be low to the ground on curve and easily changes the top of the deck with so much land searching.

If you get tireless provisioner and spingbloom you spent 6 mana to get 8 mana in treasures and 1 great value creature for the next turn. Not bad
