In future, I think making thicker branches harder to destroy would favour growing like an actual tree instead of a shrub, and also would stop trees getting decapitated as often
Even in 3D, the berry bush meta is strong.
"If you go for a taller tree, you will have harder branches to hit but a trunk that gets hit easily. If you opt for a shrub you will have easily hit branches, but a hard-to-hit trunk, making shrubs the best strategy. At least until a thick trunk helps for better defence." -me at this moment

Definitely would not mind another 3D tree battle. Perhaps where the rolling marbles are the trees' colors so that there's no right/left bias (since the spawner creating the green marbles synced with the triangles shifting left and right aat the bottom). Crisis mode would then just spawn more of the crisis's colored marbles.
Then you could even make it a 4 color battle.
This is great! I love how the plinko and game area are all connected together.

This is one of the most balanced crisis modes ive seen yet. Amazing job.
Good idea having the "Branch" section sealed off at the beginning, even if only for 18 seconds. We've seen how big an advantage it is for trees to branch right at the start.

That was so close, Blue almost destroyed Red while Red was throwing its final attack, which killed Blue. Great video!
This was awesome! I can see a forest version that use's a round arena with the ball spitter spinning in the center, and the seed ability we have seen before making a true forest by the mid-game.
I finally figured why those things are so interesting, because they are chaotic systems, they never end the same as before on every run.
I kind of want to see this again with one or two changes. Thicker pieces being harder to destroy, so it is harder for a tree to just get destroyed entirely. And possibly one more grow category called "leaf" where it grows or makes larger a leaf that hangs and acts as shielding.

I love tree battles! In 3D it would be interesting to move the camera around a bit to get a better view of the scene or at interesting parts like heavy attacks.

Sees a rainbow rolling towards one sides attack as the base is building: "oooh?"
Base isn't building fast enough: "hmmm???"
Sees opposide side has a rainbow rolling right for its attack while the other attack is mid-air, base building faster: "OOOOHHH?"
Sees the fruit flying in both directions as both sides basically MAD each other: "OOOOH!!! PLANT NUCLEAR WARFARE!"
I got way too excited for plant nuclear warfare.

Gameplay needs tweaking tho:
1. Attack trajectories are too deterministic. Early attacks almost always hut the ground, sometimes the stem, never a branch.
2. Negative feedback is too strong. Crisis mode not just recovers the underdog, it devastates its opponent.

Or, at least, make it harder to land into.
They did make it harder, if you saw it also added a bumper on the horizontal plane.

Is it weird that this battle sort of reminds me of Naruto and Sasuke's final battle?
One grows taller and faster than the other.
But the small one catches up in power to the tall one rather quickly.
Power is equalized for a little while, then they batter each other down until they're just slapping each other basically.
Then they both gather what strength they have for the final attacks.
The originally shorter and weaker one wins, but at a cost of nearly dying themselves. Several times.
I never knew angry trees literally grown by marbles would make for an intense battle.

Territory battle 3D but it's done with a canon that launches through the air rather than along the ground, the canon fires out whatever is fed into it. What gets fed in is all tree fuels! That's right, it's a forrest territory battle!
All attacks create localized explosions, planting trees in unclaimed spots in range. Trees and home-canon can only fire out so far, instead of an attack chamber to feed the canon, a few tree shaker mikan bounce through the forrest, triggering trees to launch their fruit in whatever direction it happens to be pointing. repeat bounces in the firing window expand the range at which fruit can be fired
Red really went for the bush tactic immediately.
It would be nice if you could make things shadeless and have colors resembling the original, that would make some interesting effects where it looks 2d but has 3d depth
3:12 - 3:26 focus on the red tree, and listen to the BGM..... start from the first bullet from the red tree and stops at the last bullet from the red tree (after the first impact, go focus just to the red tree) ^^ so satisfying

I dont agree with the support mode, it's overpowered and gives such a massive advantage that it bascially resets the entire game or even gives the "supported" player such a headstart that it's very hard to come back from without again support.
