One two-inch wide strip of paper-- phone book paper or tracing paper (9lb onion skin).

@@ThePaperAirplaneGuy Thanks for the answer, but why when I'm doing the suzanne (100 gsm Fabriano paper) I throw it and it fly only 22 metres, but I know the adjusting( elevators, rudder, dihedra...) it climbs perfectly but then it glide it the ground.

Does it work with notebook paper?
If the notebook paper is thin enough. Thinner paper is better. Without your paper in front of me, I can't predict your results.

Does it work with construction paper?
It will tumble, but it will be very difficult to keep in the air. Light weight paper is best.

can someone help? my wing just crashes into the cardboard. my wing is light, but a weeeeee bit crumpled. i did the wing properly tho
Try making a new one, un-crumpled. Focus on keeping the cardboard nearly vertical, and the top just slightly leaned back toward you.

It looks like the record has been broken, and the plane flew 77 meters. That beats the current record by a whopping 8 meters when it’s authenticated; which I believe it will be. The plane looks remarkably like mine, so I was correct that it would take a glider to beat my glider. I have met two of the people involved in the effort, and I must say that they are very deserving of all the attention they may receive. It took a lot of time and work.
