I agree! It always breaks my heart when I’m shadowing and see how dismissive some of these providers are. I love it when patients find the right physician for themselves.

I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for talking about your pcos journey. I'm on mine currently and it's such a battle. some doctors don't understand what it's like to go through life with pcos. some doctors cann be so mean and I hate being put on medication and nothing working but you finding something that helps really gives me hope ❤

Rem! As someone who is also going through a health journey switch (mine is with my mental health though), I appreciate you being so honest and transparent about everything. Sometimes the first doctor or specialist you go to isn’t the one for you and I’ve been trying so hard for a few years to get to a healthy and happy place with my mental health where I feel like I can trust my support system of doctors. This week I see a new psychiatrist and I’m honestly so nervous. I’m also hoping that soon I’ll have a healthy relationship with food because I too have been one that has done all of the counting and weighing and everything else and it can be exhausting. I’m so happy to see you healthy, happy, and thriving, and I hope that one day I can be just like that. I love you!! ❤️❤️

This has been so inspiring 🥺 I’ve been dealing with the same tiredness, mood swings, depression all of that. And similarly going to the doctor and having my them say “oh it’s fine, don’t worry about it.” I’m so scared but this has really inspired me to go back to the doctor and champion for myself 😅🥵
Ask your doctor to let you try Loestrin. It’s a much lower dose BC even though traditional brands are called “low dose” as well. I first got on 1.0 but it became too weak for me (could feel myself ovulate) and so then switched to 1.5. Obviously it’s different for everybody, but for me I finally found one that didn’t make me feel crazy. My natural period symptoms were never that bad, but birth-control heightened them by 100!

Tell me why I started bawling my eyes out when you were talking about your PCOS journey. I don’t know why but I never knew you had it as well!! I got diagnosed a few months ago and it has been mentally and physically the hardest challenge I have ever faced. And you describing the high T and insulin levels that’s exactly what I have!! I’m so interested to hear you talk more about what supplements you take, the medications you HAVE tried. Do you get a normal period! Like so many questions haha!! Love you girl!! You look amazing.

Ugh when you’re talking about the doctor telling you to keep taking the “birth control” I totally get it. I sat in my car and cried at one point too. I got so frustrated because I was getting so much side effects… and my dr also invalidated how I felt when I told her I can’t take it anymore. Thanks for sharing Remi!!!
