Learning how to cook with truffles is not as hard as you think as the truffle flavour does most of the work for you. This video will help you develop the confidence you need to make an unforgettable dish as you learn how to store, pair and cook with black and white truffles.
I saw in one of your previous videos the reason you didn't continue raising pigs to eat was because it felt like deceit to you and you didn't want to continue.
Unfortunately a lot of other animals we eat go through much worse treatment and they all inevitably meet the fate that Wayne the pig would have if you didn't decide to have compassion.
I know it seems tough but applying that same logic to all your food choices is very rewarding once you realise you no longer contribute to the animals' perpetual suffering.
Cooking plant-based opens up a whole new side to cooking-creativity that you didn't know existed before.

We started raising our own pigs with the idea that we could give them a better life before we ate them. After a while I started to feel that this logic was skewed. The pigs lived in our back garden and you end up developing a connection and a lot of respect for these highly intelligent animals. I would be feeding them and they would come to be scratched, they would look me in the eye and I would feel a total fraud. As you rightly point out - in the kindest of ways - all I really did was pass the responsibility and the knife onto someone else.
@@TheRealTruffleHunters oh don't worry, I went down the same road as well.
We raised a bullock while we were raising our Great Dane and they were best friends. The one we would have died for and the other ended up on our plates. No difference in the animals except our perception.
Fortunately soon after that I started seeing all animals as worthy of living and experiencing life, so his sacrifice wasn't in vain.

Howdy lady. Im sooo happy to see you do this video. This video will make it easier to get folks I know to check out your channel. I did find it interesting about using aroma "contamination " as a flavoring technique. Hmm, truffle butter. Truffle cheese. Now how to make truffle beer? 😊 I believe you showed yourself making a truffle omelet some time ago. Im going to mention to Walter Trupp your channel. Walter is a chef who worked at and ran many of the top restaurants in Europe. Including 3 stared Michelin restaurants. He even worked at and managed Marco Pierre Whites restaurant. He currently lives in Australia. Anyway you two should do some collaborate works. It would help both your channels and could be done remotely. Admittedly your both on very different time zones but I believe you could figure something out. Anyway check out his channel. Tell him I said hello. @TheRealTruffleHunters I know you're channels are different and yet about the same. Food, really great food. And I believe content creators do better when building a network of channels they work with. I see this in our bbq community. Yes I'm still working on my channel. But working with others is a important part of what I want to do. Ultimately my channel will be about food and people. And I intend to include folks like you and Walter and some of my bbq brethren. Did I ever mention Harry Soo's channel he and I did? I took him salmon fishing and he cooked salmon 6 ways,so good. @TheRealTruffleHunters I wasn't sure if you had seen it. Say I had a good visit with my doctor today. The foot continues to heal. I'm hoping it will be in good enough condition by the end of this month. I've gone most of the year now unable to walk hardly so my leg muscles are mostly gone. So as soon as my foot is healed I'll start doing exercises to build back up. I have to get my legs in good enough shape before I get my pup and start training him. Wow this has been a difficult year. But hey one day at a time.
