Eddie Butler is always getting things wrong... the Flag of the Union was designed and brought in by the then KING of SCOTLAND James VI who later inherited the English, Irish and Welsh throne - so blame the Scottish if anyone for not including Wales on the flag!! Did I also hear correctly him stating Monmouthshire was not even part of Wales?! lol.
It never ceases to amuses me when these celebrities at the very end of their careers come out in support of lost causes after years of making £££££s from English TV, Radio, newspapers and advertisers. How much did Yes Cymru pay him for doing this just before Plaid Cymru suffered greatly at the Senedd elections!
When will Yes Cymru allow public scrutiny of their accounts to see exactly where big buck donations actually come from - SNP, Plaid, American IRA sympathisers, EU big industry Remoaners, etc.?
Don't be fooled into believing this is actually about Welsh Indy - it is far from it. It's about hidden agendas from others not caring if Wales suffers or not as long as the make ££££££m's from the break up of four great nations!

He never said Monmouthshire wasn't part of Wales. He said it wasn't very Welsh, as in, it's Tory.
I'd be more worried about what's in the accounts of Tories than anyone else.

@@ULYSSES-31he had to back track when he said. Considering he lived in north Monmouthshire went to the all boys private school in Monmouth where his children also attended it was surprising.
Any thoughts on the fact that the Union flag was designed by the Scots who spared no thought to Wales or people?

A bunch of aristocrats created a flag that's now out of date. They had hundreds of years to alter it, and an ideal opportunity when most of Ireland left in 1922, making the British creation of the St.Patrick's cross redundant.

Only 12 Welsh counties were registered under the act. Monmouthshire was omitted and made directly responsible to the courts of Westminster, whereas the other Welsh counties fell under the Court of Great Sessions in Wales he made good references to England trying to have a tug of war with wales over Monmouthshire and he was right history supports him. Also end of the day England couldn’t deny that Monmouth belongs to us. Now we just got to work on getting Cornwall back lol

Also I live in Gwent 10 mins from Monmouth. If you go through it it is very similar to bath. Which is a beautiful city. A lot of English people live in Monmouth for which Eddie was right.
